Love it. Scouts are taught free hand on artificial stones. That is a skill that is long in the making.... most scout knives that were actually a scout’s have road rash. It's part of learning that skill. Though I did reach the highest rank, I still am only a mediocre free hand sharpener. Here are 3 generations of scouts from last summer camp's Order of the Arrow call out ceremony. Pap, my boys and me.

I love my Cats a lot ............................... hmmm...............maybe I should ponder on changing my user name to Catt Primble, Goods of Honor !! 😜 and thanks for the pics of your Cats !!!

Another Catt Jack - this one has some very rich colored bone and a faint etch which reads "The Reading", ( likely for the Reading Railroad Co. which ran to Philadelphia, PA. and was also one of the Railroad Properties on the old monopoly game.) I think I owned that Railroad more than a few times if memory serves me correctly. ☺️

Augie, those are some fine examples of the outstanding bone and jigging that Cattaraugus produced. They made high quality knives and advertised that way. The MOP whittler looks barely used, might have been carried to church once a year, I reckon. Nice furry cats Will and Augie. I like the furry ones as well. Here is another barely used small whittler that Old & in the Way gave me to add to my collection. He had a portal to unused knives I believe ! I never have figured out who Hensel is. 😂
