The NYK bone is great on those Jacks. Here's a pair of bone pen knives. The one with the bar shield is a NYK with Hammer Brand on the master and the other is a Wallkill River Works. Both are 3 1/4" closed. The NYK has 2355 on back of the master.

This was found in a little generic box at a Long Island estate sale and given to me from a friend. It came with the original NYK paper sleeve. One of the guys at a NCCA Knife show called this celluloid Preleans & Cream.

Great knives Barry, and the Cell with the wrapper is a killer .

Best regards

Robin

A pair of Hammer Brand Whittlers with tip bolsters. The pearl has fancy milled liners by the back springs, and the clip point file is unusual in that it has a tang stamp on both sides of the tang. It also has KOBE in a Diamond engraved in he pearl. The bone one has a thick center liner allowing for a long Master blade.

According to Wikipedia: "Kobe is a former settlement in Yolo County, California. It was located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 3.25 miles west of West Sacramento, at an elevation of 33 feet. It still appeared on maps as of 1916." Weather or not this knife is from Kobe California or Kobe Japan one can only guess?

Or more possibly.

They sold out some while ago, not much individual history on them.

Keep the NYKC knives coming guys. I have not seen one I don't like yet.
