Indeed !!!

Gevonovich - do you need the NYKC and Schrade files too ? - we should have waited, I suppose. :D:D

First off, I am so glad to hear the burn is not third degree and should heal quickly! Everything else can be remedied.

Thanks very much for your kind offer, but since my project is 'down the road', lets hold off for now. i will work with the files you sent me and once I work out the details and make sure it will work, we can move forward with the new files.

Thanks again, my friend. Glad you and the kitties are not out in the cold.

Glad you're ok, Primble! Grease fires can be the makings of a major disaster for sure!

Most printing directly onto metal, they do onto Aluminum. I'm not sure if there is a particular reason steel wouldn't work with those processes. Typically for steel people silkscreen onto it, or do some sort of emulsion transfer. It can be done - but it may be prohibitively expensive. Your best "budget" bet - would be to print it onto a clear adhesive material, or other substrate, and laminate it to the steel.

What remains of the NYKC factory circa 2014

Thanks Liam. I was going to send you a PM on this very subject and now I don't have to.

Thanks for the nice comments. Here are a few more.

There are some great old knives being posted here. I'm enjoying this thread.

Jamie, thanks for the picture of the sacred location! Almost looks like the knife in the graphic.

Charles
Fantastic specimens as per usual. Thanks for sharing:D

I echo the thoughts of Gevonovich and Mark - great knives and a very sacred location.:thumbup::)

It turned out pretty well for me - just a little sore today and mostly a lot of clean-up done to my house. :o

Those are great NYK Farmers Jacks - I love the bone on both of those and the etch is fantastic.:thumbup::thumbup:

You really picked a sweet pattern to collect Lyle.:)
