Any Adamas lovers?

I almost bought an Adamas, but instead purchased an 810 Contego. I love the Contego, but might still be interested in an Adamas down the road. Does anyone own both a Contego and an Adamas? If so, how do they compare?

I do, and I prefer to edc the contego, as I see it fits better in my pocket. But I have no concern carrying the adamas. The contego it definitely a thinner knife and less chunky. Both are rock solid as to be expected from benchmade. If you like the contego, then I say go for it. The adamas is a fantastic knife, if bigger knives don't bother you.

I am a huge fan of the folding Adamas, and had 4 of them at one time. But due to a spinal cord stroke on July 24, 2012, and a subsequent stay in the hospital of close to 4 months, lead me to have to sell my collection to pay what my insurance would nt pay. And as of last month it is at a 0 balance! Along the way i have picked up a few pieces, and found myself really trying to replace only those folders that i really, really likiqu ed. For example i have picked up a few ZT's, a Fantoni HB-01, LionSteel SR-1 Damascus, well, you get the idea, big and heavy. I had not picked up an Adamas though and it was one that i really wanted, but i wanted the elusive all black model. So i found one about a week and a half ago and it arrived this past Friday. Forgot just how much i loved this big handful of knife, and am so glad i found one. In fact i am thinking i need to go ahead and order a second all black while they are available. Great, great knives!!!

I've had my Adamas for about a year now. Its a great knife! i like the weight of it. I wish I could have found an all black one when i bought mine. the Tan scales are not my favorite. the paint comes off too easily. Im looking to make my own scales for it soon though! has anyone here done that to their adamas? or have any idea of ho easy that is to do to a BM?

That looks wonderful, extremely impressive. if you wouldn't mind me asking, what did you pay for that to be done? if it is in my budget i may look into it.
Also, are those G10? or some sort of Micarta?

G10 and I think I should leave the pricing up to Keyman. just send a email to him with a link to the material you want him to use

check out usaknifemaker.com

he did great and the blue spacer is crazy polished. a higher polish then I thought was possible with g10

Had one but sold it as it was just a monster for pocket carry EDC. If it fits your needs, It's a ton of knife for the price.. literally. If they made it half as thin and half as heavy, I'd get another.

I can't. I've only got a dumb-phone, no way to post. It is the basic black, carried in the sheath.

I would love to get some custom scales for my Adamas. Does Keyman have a website or anything? Also who else does custom scales for the Adamas?
