Around here 90 percent of people that carry a knife carry a trapper of some sort I've always loved the pattern especialy the slimline trappers.

I would like to see those. :)

Sure thing but I think you've seen them before :)

Case Tiny Trapper in Caribbean Blue bone. I'm thinking of picking up a Tiny Wharncliffe Trapper one of these days. Just in case I ever need something that small.

Yup!! I like trappers. I just bought a CSC half moon today, but I have several including a couple Bulldogs and a couple of Schrades, and some Case full and mid-size trappers. I like the pattern better than the stockman. I don't really know why, I just do. That long clip blade just pulls me in. If it has a wharncliffe, even better. I believe the mini trapper is a touch better for me, size wise.

2dead, that array of half moon trappers up there is just stunning. Wow!!!

Absolutely I have, I have several myself. I think I must have been multi-tasking, or something, when I posted that reply. Walking away from 'puter now.

No problem David

Loving that one. I also keep coming back to your display pic of half moons. I'll eventually have to have one of those.

Here are some higher res pics. I'll be honest that the fit and finish is good but not great. The scales make this one a keeper. Also, I only paid $9 plus shipping so that helps too.

nice furtakers, mine is still pretty new

how are they holding up?
Maxx

I haven't put them through anything that would make them sweat. They are pretty beefy folders so I don't expect any issues. They both sharpen up nicely, with the 440C being sharper from the beginning. I really like the small tight jigging on both of them. The only thing I didn't like is that I had to file down the kicks a bit. The tips weren't exposed but I could catch the skin on my finger on the tips if I pressed and pushed. The wharnie does sit high, but it makes it pinchable, even on the smooth polished 440c. Other than that, I really like them.

2dead, here are a couple of trapper photos from my bunch of pics:

A pair of Case wharncliffe trappers; I love the knives more than the scales:

Like Ed, I like these Case Wharncliffe Trappers more for the knife than for the scales. I particularly like the mini-wharnie. Maybe I should have added this to the "Do you buy Back-Ups?" thread. :)
