Good looking and more usable looking.I reprofiled a lockback trapper by Rough Rider spey blade into a pretty nice wharncliffe.Ive been using the heck out of it.

Ed, not sure where they got it, but GEC calls that a "double hipped" spey blade. I've seen some Marbles with that shape as well.

Yes, the Western Trappers have a different design. You can see the difference between these Tidioutes. The WT is pointer but the regular has a nice point too. Also, it looks likes like the WT is more downswept than the regular trapper.

Also the clip blade is taller on the western, if I'm seeing that correctly. Nice looking knives. Both of them. I've got the AAPK 2010 forum knife and it is like the bottom one in stag. I'm thinking I posted a photo earlier in the thread. They are very sweet knives. - Ed J
