Finland. There is one belt knife available at this moment and it runs you 550€, about 587USD according to google.

You’d probably save just a bit by ordering from Winkler but I would assume shipping is around 50 dollars and then you need to pay import tax 24% on both knife and shipping so…

Same in Norway. I saved over 200$ when I bought directly from Winkler instead. The waiting time was longer, but worth it. I also got a LEO discount from Winkler, that made it even better

Maple or Laminate? I like both so much it’s hard to choose. The loser is a Christmas present to one of my sons. Any advice received cheerfully.
I originally bought both for each son but my oldest was going to purchase a rifle ( one that i already own) so i asked him to wait for Christmas. I had already purchased the knives.

I like the maple. The laminate has its charm also. I bought the G10 multicam and have on order the maple sculpted.

They do G-10? I thought the multi cam was Micarta (laminate) same material as mine pictured here? Guess it makes sense.
Thanks for the input i have plenty of time to choose. I will say the laminate always feels cool to cold when you pick it up as opposed to the maple that doesn't feel warm but warm compared to the laminated one. Also i like the more aggressive grip. It’s very grippy but not sandpaper like or rough in any way.
I’m hoping before December that they will have one in maple or walnut tribal. Then my rifle son will get a knife for his birthday lol or not!

Yes they do have G10 in the multicam. I like the feel of Micarta also. I have a custom knife with koa handle and it is pretty smooth which is fine when my hands are dry. That’s why I got the sculpted maple on the drop point. Also my G10 I got was also sculpted. Feels super good. I picked the SD1 up from Link to non supporting vendor removed by staff

I do like the wood too. Very traditional.
It will also depend on if the store gets a SD2 in Maple Tribal my first choice. Walnut Tribal 2nd.
Though 2nd train of thought is giving my son the Maple so he can appreciate the traditional soul these Winkler knives emote?

Ok yes i jumped the gun. Their display wooded counter and back drop looked similar to boones store.
There’s a outdoors store near me that has a bunch of WK’s but at full MSRP as i’m sure this store you show is. Only way i purchase is order and wait or buy directly as the discount is king.
I am a patient man.
