Any Winkler fans?

Yes i like that and the operator is on my radar. The SD2 i have also rides in my front or back pocket like a normal folder with a clip. I like that style of EDC.

Now I’m thinking about getting the Huntsman. I know it’s only a 1/2” larger but I really like the look. I’ll probably end up with that one and the Woodsman. When my Drop Point crusher comes in then I may HAVE to get the SD2. 1st world problems.

Yeah, I like my SD2, but I think if I was having to choose, the Huntsman is more versatile, while still being very easy to EDC.

Exactly. Most of my edc folders are those with a large finger choil like the huntsman so i feel right at home with the huntsman.

Anyone know if some winker sd1 knives have a full width tang and some have a tapered tang? Pictures on "the knife connection's" site seem to show both. Seems sculpted handle knives are a full width tang....or maybe it's just the photos..

The one I was gifted recently had regular maple handles and full tang construction

Had the Edge Pro out a couple of days ago, desided to give the belt knife a treatment. First time I used the Edge Pro with this knife was when I got it a couple of years ago. I settled with the 18 deg setting back then. The bevel got a bit wide, but I had read that it was a thick knife, thick behind the edge etc.

This time I just polished up the bevel, started with the 600-stone and up, then stropped. I tried to use the same setting as I did last time two tears ago, but the bevel got a bit steeper than last time I did it.

After I used it today, I wanted to test something: I used a sharpie on the bevel, took out my Sharpmaker, put the rods in the 15 deg setting, and gave it a few swipes. It made a barely visible micro-bevel. I mistakenly sharpened it to far below 30 deg inclusive.

So up until now I have used it with an angle lower than 30 inclusive, and it has been used a lot, mainly on hard, dry wood. During these years I have only stropped it to maintain the edge (with some rather heavy compounds), and it has not gotten any damage. I am impressed!

I'm trying to decide on a Belt Knife or the Blue Ridge Hunter. Who can weigh in on that?
