Any Winkler fans?

Really looking forward to getting the Forest Edge.

Just checked out the FE on the website - looks like a great smaller blade. If I didn't already have a Huntsman that is very similar in size, I'd likely be ordering one.

Yeah. I also have the huntsman and I love it. FE looks like not quite as much belly. I don’t know I just need the whole set. The woodsman will be last. Of the set that is.

You looking to move any pieces? Thanks
This isn't a buy/sell/trade forum or thread for that matter....

I’m not. However you can order from Winkler. Don’t have to pay until it is ready to ship. Also if you are a veteran or law enforcement you receive a 25% discount. I have 2 on order as of a couple weeks ago. Once those are in I will order another most likely. Great company.

3 posts from you need a “Welcome to Bladeforums” from us.
If you are looking to buy, sellers list their blades on the knife exchange (top of this page at the left in the blue line).
If you care to you can also post a want to buy in the WTB section of the exchange to let folks know what you are looking for. The exchange rules are posted also so you can see what you are allowed to do with each membership level.

Alternatively, Several dealers on the internet keep a pretty good supply of Winklers on hand if you do a search.
Enjoy the ride.

Anyone have the Utility Crusher? I’m thinking once my 2 on order come in that may be my next.

I had a belt knife but sold it. It was just too thick for my purposes.
I get that, the blue ridge hunter has nice thin geometry behind the edge so I assumed the belt knife does too. Does anyone have a comparison photo of the spine of a BRH and belt knife side by side? I do wish winker chose thinner stock to make their knives from.

Jmho Winkler is more of a camp/combat knife not what i would call a slicer. Since i don’t camp or do combat or hunt for that mater i don’t use it enough the say how well the blade steel performs.
Funny story. My son needed a knife to cut something while installing lights in our pantry. I handed my SD2 i was carrying and he cut something and said it’s not very sharp is it. 10 minutes later he shows me a nice sliced finger thankfully still attached to his hand dripping blood. I guess it’s deceptive as the edge angle feels thick not thin like a razor.
Does any of that make sense to anyone that owns a WK?
I would imagine an Operator would be slicey though in my opinion a SD2 is sorta like a shorter version of an Operator?
Operators are stabbers. Not slicers !!
