Natural tinder, no accelerant and a firesteel for spark with Mr Winkler doing some light batoning and poorly done feathers but hey, it’s going! Good trick (for me) with dead but lightly moist grass, green cedar branches and dried piñon wood.

You guys are making me think I killed the thread. Let’s get it going again. Dryer lint, pine needles and a couple of pine cones along with spark from the firesteel off the spine of the HH.

Just ordered the Forest Edge with wasp handle today. Will go along good with my SD1, SD2 and Huntsman. Of course the Drop Point Crusher once it is ready in a month or two. Ordered the DP in August. They said 5-6 months. It’s cheaper for me to order than buy from dealer since I get a 25% discount.

Now if I was in the Boone NC area I could go by Winkler Actual and buy it with discount but that would be a 6 hour drive. Will get by there one day.

Long drive. Might be worth it if you got a tour and to look at their historical stuff. Oh and impulse buys

Sort of a current family photo. The crusher belt knife went to my brother as a gift and the combat axe will too.

I recently picked up a camp axe that is a solid piece. And the BRH has been a frequent carry!

Just picked one of those up should arrive this week and I’m looking forward to trying it out!

They don’t make the sexiest knives but they are real work knives. I’ve got a good bit of wear on my huntsman from edc use. I did take the angle down to 17* and edge still strong.

I did the same (20 degrees if I remember). That made it both slicey and sharp. Cuts well thru cordage as well as easily slices through paper and shaves hair cleanly to boot.
Went to 15 on my SD2.
