Anyone else looking forward to the GEC #83?

Man I just love this pattern!! So good. So small you don't even notice it in your pocket, but large enough for most daily tasks. And. Just. Gorgeous! I wish I had the funds to keep a hundred of them. Here is a pic of some great stag:

and here is a little video I did of the pattern as well: https://youtu.be/t_s4jxFfJnw

I just watched the video and I agree with Your thinking around Your second thicker Stag handle.
Great Stag on it too!

Beautiful coloring on that one. That is the great thing about stag, you can generally find one that pleases you in appearance and utility.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for reddish brown & butterscotch colors!
Utility is the word for the #83, useful yet elegant and pocketfriendly.

Mikael and Mark, looking good with the #83s you picked, congrats.

Brad, Your "Gnarly" is a real necktwister and I love stag like that!

I'm really enjoying the pic's from everyone in this thread!

Mikael

Great knives you guys, everyone here seems to be very pleased with their 83's. I wish I had added a stag as my fourth.. but those dang 77's are just around the corner lol

GRRRRRRR!!!!! Darn Enablers. Thought I could resist the temptation, but ended up yesterday pulling the trigger on a Purple Sage Satin Drop Point I think. First two dealers sites rejected my CC. Tried a third dealer and received an order confirmation, so I guess it went through on the third time???? Just couldn't resist getting one, unless in the end my card doesn't go through with the third dealer. Then I guess I have resisted.........

I have resisted........

Reordered and tracking shows in Indy already. Would have Monday, but will be Tuesday with the Holiday. :eagerness:

Customs sent me the letter notifying me to pay the import tax on Friday!

It's GOT to be here on Monday morning, can't wait any longer!!! The one I chose is Gnarlosaurus rex:D:D

Depending on it Brad, but you never quite know with Stag...part of the excitement though:eek::D:D

Got home yesterday to find the 83 in stag I have been getting excited to get.

I was initially thinking about getting a fatty:eek:, to fill the hand when in use. But I like the comfort of the bone covers on the Yellow Rose , so I went for some popcorn:p.
This one caught my eye due to the hints of brown and the cavernous hills and valleys...

being a lefty this is what my fingers feel

with the Yellow Rose and my other new one, Case mini Copperhead...which is just slightly longer and feels just as nice. All have great walk and talk, and lockup.

Great Stag on that one too!
GEC obviously have a good source for Stag.

Received my Tidioute Purple Sage Jiggged Bone Satin Drop Point today. Was surprised to find it is a triple P version. Utter perfection in my book. Earlier talk of the Purple possibly being an "Underdog" caused me to look more at it. Was thinking to start with about another knife in Ebony or my first Cocobolo. Sure glad I went with Purple Sage. My sixth GEC knife with a sixth type of Scale. On this one, I'm going to let the patina come on its own, where on several other non SS knives I own I've forced patina or blued. :triumphant:

Good looking knives! I like all three.

I appreciate you showing both scales on your stag 83. So many people don't.

So did I but this is my first.:D

Got called away to the countryside for a couple of days, but at last I was able to pop the tube. Well worth the wait, great size (around 15 dimensions) UnXld finish for sure, no complaints on fit and this Stag pleases me no end....

Wow, what a cavalcade of new exceptional entrie's!

But who's gonna carry the 83?
I know I do and for this one, I put it in the KSF small leatherslip placed in the front pocket.

Mikael

Absolut Mikael!

Mine is in use immediately, will cut the breakfast oranges with it, that should get things moving.

Burning Crow and Will... great looking stag. I think the gnarly stag fits the 83's perfect!
