Anyone ever file a paypal claim, for undelivered item?

How can a seller be an amateur at selling when they have hundreds of thousands of feedbacks?

About two weeks ago I had a priority package that was coming to me sit in a hub in the midwest about half way to me for 3 days before it got to moving again.

True.
They did deliver a Sebenza to a business 50 miles away from me once.It had my correct address right on it and it was insured.I called to check on it when I saw it tagged as delivered. The post master here did a great job tracking it down and called me back with in a couple hours.I did not trust the idiot that had that business sign for it to pick it back up so I drove there myself and got it.

They made it back from PR and are at the sort hub where they was sent from to PR last Friday night. At least they were at 4AM this morning. They should be here today or tomorrow. Unless they ship them back out of the USA again!

Next stop is Bratslavia; home of the man eating gerbils.

Whew, they just showed up in my mailbox. They are both OK other than a bit of damage to one box. Looks like somebody tore the envelope open enough to see what was inside. I wish these dealers would stop shipping in these bubble envelopes. I feel very lucky that they never fell out, or somebody didn't remove them.

They never did ship them out of the country. Puerto Rico is a US territory-they vote in the elections.;)

Glad that your stuff showed up. Better late than never!

OK, but they went out of the States and that's something I'm envious of, because I've never been.

So no stories of hunting man-eating gerbils from your new knives then. That's a little sad.

I am glad you had a good ending Jill.......Just in time for Xmas:) (post a pic or 2 of 76 and 77)

By failing to understand that he is responsible for seeing that the product is delivered to the customer.

Also for cutting the prices razor thin and including shipping in the price, then shipping in a bubble envelope 1st class with no insurance.
I think they understood they was going to be held responsible for the knives if they wasn't delivered. (by paypal) What I was upset about was the CS girl telling me "They'd rather I didn't file a claim and I should file lost package after 30 days" for one paypal took the option away for eBay sellers to offer insurance sold separate to the customer. Paypal covers customers when they use it irregardless of insurance. They know that, she tried to play me for ignorant. I seriously doubt I will be buying from them again, just because of this. I would as soon pay a bit more and get insurance and a proper shipping box for items that cost that much.

My latest Khukuri arrived in the mail last night in perfect shape. No wayward adventures or anything. Kinda sad. I'm glad you got your latest additions Jill. How many Barong's do you have now?

Don't you need to update your Spyder total? I think I'm going to buy some more Khukuri's. I sure do like the way they look and feel in my hand.

PayPal may or may not do anything. I have filed a complaint for a non delivered item twice and they didn't do anything. The complaint seems to go through an automated system. If you call, you get someone in India who doesn't do much except direct you back to the website.

On the other hand, I've been dinged twice by buyers who were scamming me. I don't want to post the details and give anybody ideas, but it resulted in PayPal taking money out of my account, so clearly the system works for some buyers. Maybe it will work for you.

Good luck.

None needed, they came!:)

From a seller's point of view I believe it should be the buyers responsibility to purchase insurance for their items. When they pay me and as soon as I ship the item, the item then becomes the buyers. Thus, buy insurance. When I noticed ebay stopped using the insurance option then I stopped selling on ebay. I always have proof that I shipped the item. The point is I shouldn't be out an item and money from paypal because the USPS screwed up. It's just another case of people (that is the USPS) not taking responsibility for their mistakes and letting others take the hit. If I purchase something off of ebay then I send the seller a message stating a request for insurance, to let me know how much the insurance will cost and add it to the shipping price along with a delivery conf. That way if the package gets lost I claim insurance with the usps and the seller doesn't lose his money. Also in good conscience I can't take someone's money to reimburse me for something they did not do.
