James,

Thanks for the tip. Have you seen his work?.

I am sure he would be glad to send you some photos, he does work for a knifemaker friend of mine. And he is always bragging about his work. You might also contact SheBop on the forum, she is in Texas and has a personal friend make all of hers and I have seen them. They are just great. Do a search for her name and send her an email. I have always found her to be a great help in many things. Great person to know and deal with.
James

I've had this little fixed blade for 30 years maybe? It was made in Japan. I just love the stag on it.

Beautiful knives guys. Love that stag. Great set of custom knives Thomason. James that is one awesome whittler.

Thank you, I really need to get a scanner and or a tripod, these old hands shake a lot and my photo skills stink. But you are right about the whittler, in your hands and up close the work by Don is hard to beat.

Thanks again for your kind comments,
James

I bought both of these for their stag. My favorite handle material by far.

I really miss that Chamblin. The stag on that is wonderful. Oh well, at least it went to good hands. :D

I really need to get my hands on more stag, maybe an Ohta. Right now all I have is this Montell in stag:

Those are beautiful examples of stag... The Bradshaw is wonderful Mike. Sunnyd, love the old bowie. Have you made any progress in identifying the maker of that one?

This one just arrived yesterday. This is the 'Admiralty Pattern 301" First introduced c1910; knives like this one saw action in WW1. This one was made by Jos Allen & Sons. It is very heavy and almost five inches long closed not including the bail.
