Arkansas Custom Knife Show - Preview of makers and knives

:)I bought some nail polish recently about that same color to dope the front sights of my deer rifle. I thought nothing about seeing nail polish in your drawer for that reason.

I couldn't stand being cooped up in the house during this winter storm and made it to the shop long enough to finish my last one for the show.

Many of you will recognize the styling of this one. The original for it was thought to be the first Bowie to have a sharpened clip. It is known that the Bowie brothers met with English & Hubers but it's not known if they actually carried one of their knives.

The blade on this one is of W1. The guard is wrought iron. The handle is rosewood with brass furniture.

Now that I have everything completed for the show I can sit back and enjoy all of the last minute photos to be posted here.

:)Keep them coming.

Well this will probably be the last one I get done. Lin gave me some lessons in forging guards last year so I put it to use on this one. Again pardon my cell phone pics, that will be remedied in LR.

Looking forward to seeing all the beautiful knives next weekend!

Tad--I love the activity that you got in your blade. Well done!

Doug--Nice job with the forged guard. I like it.

Here are a couple pictures of a few completed knives.
I'll be taking 7 but only have one for sale. The others are all being picked up by their new owners. And a couple hunters also for delivery.

The yellow-ish Bowie has a handle of 100+ year old original production Bakelite.

The first Damascus piece has the wrought iron guard shown here:

This one was ordered off a Bowie I had in Blade magazine last month.

Beautiful knives everyone! Really looking forward to seeing them all in person. It is going to be hard to stay at my table.

Here is a pro image of the dagger I posted earlier.

See ya all soon

James, the proportions are beautiful on your dagger. I want to see it if you get time. Great job.
