How did I miss this post? Very informative and well put.

Just callin' 'em as I see 'em.

...Some of the best, and most expensive...

One does not necessarily have anything to do with the other. Chemistry don't lie, and there's only so much anybody can do with a certain alloy. If someone is saying 4140 or 1055 makes a good 'hawk, they're probably on the right track. If anyone is telling you 4140 makes the best 'hawk, or even in the ballpark of being the best, they're flat-out jerkin' your chain. I don't care what price they put on it.

somebody is making millions peddling bigfoot erotica.

I have big feet, where's my cut of the profits?

Just got home from the weekend hiking. Wore my old ass out. Will post photos later.

come on......... when's it gonna change to "add to cart"?!
I like the JAB blades for sure and maybe the snake charmer and boss. The copper smith fixed blade is cool too. And can't forget a couple packs of those cards.

Yes. I need that parangatang. The Boss knives I would get if they were made out of something less expensive. If they were like $30 cheaper I'd be much more interested.

Fun day assassinating starlings.

Looks like fun, trade. I have never shot a .17. What sort of range have you got out of that thing?

I have a savage MK II TR (.22lr) and I love that thing. Thinking about getting a 93 TR for a little more range. Out to 80 yards that MK II tr is a tack driver. Haven't had much chance to push it out past that.

Eh, Ka-Bar can keep the Snodys (MO). I'm not impressed with them. I will say though I do like the Dog's Head copper Barlow and the offering from the TDI camp.

Usually when I call a place to ask about something like that I find if I go "Yeah my name's such-and-such and I had the thingamajig and I was wondering if it was ready." I'll usually get asked to repeat everything I just said at least once. So anymore I just tell them that I'm calling to check on whatever it is and wait for them to get ready and to be asked for my info. I would imagine a lot of people do the same thing but the way they word it makes them sound like a ditz. Or they're just having a brain fart.

When I worked in a quick lube I had several regulars that would expect me to remember their full name off the top of my head. We had a standard greeting, ask what they'd like and if they've ever had the car in before. I was careful to word it just like that "Have you ever had THIS CAR in before?" Not something they might mistake for "have YOU been here before?" Still more often than not we'd punch in the plate number into the computer and nothing would come up. I'd go and ask if they changed their plates or something (we were near the state line so it wasn't uncommon) and I'd usually get "Oh no I just bought that car, first time I ever brought it in. But I already have an account here." Then I would try to explain that our system doesn't have accounts, the records in the computer go by individual cars and we punch in the plate #, in a vain attempt to avoid this situation in the future. They look me straight in the eye annoyed and butthurt and tell me that I should remember them since they come in all the time. Never mind they have no idea what my name is, that they're one of 30 people that day, or that "all the time" actually means 2 or three times a year.
No, seriously....the exact words were (more than once!): "is my bike done?" That deserves nothing more than silence on my part....plus I like listening for the squealing tires of the clue bus......
I give humanity too much credit, otherwise I'd be rich.
That is so true, it hurts.
Why am I working second shift on a Sunday? Oh yeah, cause I can do this all night.
There's one helluva a good reason to never leave your job. If it involves overtime, well.......where did you say you worked?

That thing is a beast Guyon.

Fishing was pretty slow this morning. I ended up catching a 6ish lb northern and another smaller one. My brother caught a smaller northern, a small walleye, and a really nice perch. We were trying for walleye, but some days you take what you can get. We released everything to be caught another day. Used my bk24 to cut some line and almost dropped it through the ice!!

Yeah, it's safe to say I'm not a Snody fan. None of those are appealing to me. I've got a BK10 and BK16 that I'd rather use than the bosses.

On the other hand, the JAB knives are looking good. I think a gamestalker and parangatang are both on my list for this year.

A farmer in the country noticed that a gentleman would fish at the lake (close to the farmer's house) and would always leave with a stringer full of fish.

The fellow had a boat but a fishing pole was not to be seen. The farmer mentioned the situation to the game warden. The warden then started watching this man and all that the farmer said was true! The man would arrive at the lake in the morning and by early afternoon, he had a stringer full of fish.

The warden dressed like a fisherman one day and approached the man. They exchanged pleasantries and the stranger asked the warden in disguise to come fish with him. They boated for 45 minutes and arrived at a secluded spot.

The stranger then pulled out a stick of dynamite. The warden said, "I'm going to have to place you under arrest--I am a game warden and you are fishing illegally!"

The stranger calmly lit the stick of dynamite and handed it to the warden. The stranger then said, "Are you gonna talk or fish?"
