Some crafty problem solving! Good luck with the re-assembly.
Thanks, Gus.
I had to spend about three days just getting all the shnit off the bench; sadly sequestering a lot of bike tools because I'm just not using them that much. OK, at all. Also getting rid of a bunch of parts, so if you keep your MTB, lemme know. I got a sweet set of Ringlé Super Bubba hubs in tie-dye. WITH matching skewers.

I AM OLD. I just took apart my daughter's netbook; had to get the motherboard out to replace the power jack. I had to put a riser table on my bench to bring it up to eye level, the wear the readers still to be able to see what the frack I was doing:

I did get it out, though. I may be old, but with age comes cunning. Of course, now I have to see if I can get it back together with no leftover parts....

Nice job GSoM! I do that kind of stuff all the time and I have to wear cheaters too to see the damn board, but I have one of these on hand too...

Makes it pretty easy :)

The Stoeger Cougar that bought the other day is being sold to a friend. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it, so I offered it to him while it was still unshot. Now to find something else to buy.

I just have a soldering iron and a solder sucker. That setup looks spendy.

I was planning on doing a hike or two and an overnight this weekend, however, the 5-day forecast is making me less optimistic.

Hope everyone's surviving this polar vortex. Looks like a cold day to ride a dirtbike to work! He didn't even park in the spaces properly haha

Whereabouts were ya gonna go?

It's about $600 but well worth it..and my company bought it so that helps too :D The LASER calibration range was about $10k and the optical collimator range was a little more than that.. even just the attenuators on my radio range test rig was about $3k by itself.. so the desolder station is cheap in comparison. I bet my toys don't get near the cost of others work tools here.. I am sure Tad Hunt's work tools vastly out cost mine.. how much is Daizee's ship? lol.

Research ship operations run from $20k-$60k/day, depending on the equipment and personnel required for the op. This is a common range for ships in our size class. Wanna hire us? :D

Sure, we can go bass fishing, lol

I can't help but wonder what kind of eclectic mess my future work area will become. Between my Jeeps, tinkering on sharp things and getting into MTB's, I imagine it will take an interesting form....

Thanks, Gus.

Oh my god! Those Ringle parts bring back memories! What other stuff do you have?

Went by the new small fart last night, they opened 2 new ones recently.. one is about a mile form the old one and the other is about 2 1/2 miles from the old one... anyway, they had a full hunting/fishing department which was a surprise, because they pulled it out of the one only a mile away... got to hold a Rossi Circuit Judge.. cool rifle, a little too expensive for what it is though, but nice.. would love to find a deal on one. Anyway, they had all the Fieldline backpacks on closeout.. Got a couple just because, one was almost an exact copy of my Rush 12.. for 1/8th the price.. they seem kind of cheap, but one is for my 3 year old's potty training items.. you know 9 changes of cloths, lol. The other was just because.. great deal for cheap.

Thanks, Gus.
