Ashokan is set!

Here's a shot of Dan Maragni, very nice fellow, some amazing knives he makes
doesn't make a lot, but the ones he does make, are neat, clean and tidy ones ;)

Pardon the shot, indoors, low light and a point and shoot camera do not make for
good hand held shots, notice the folks in the background that are moving about,
but, I liked how it came out, Dan was sitting in the back listening to a lecture
in the room just outside of the dining hall area.

Hi Joe, this is from the Registration web page shown Here

I copied and pasted some of it here and highlighted in red the area you are asking about. There are only a few of those available so you'd need to
probably call to secure one right away!

Joe,
There are cool little cabins for couples on the opposite end of the campus that also allow for a bit of privacy away from all the hooligans, but still close to the main dining and lecture hall. Bring her along!

Hi Guys, I live very near to this event and will be dropping in on Sunday when it's open to the public. Looking forward to meeting you guys in person and seeing all the knives on display. I have started putting a little "down south" money aside in hopes of picking up a new favorite knife.
Dave

Good deal guys, Dave hope those norton's are
working well for you!

Glad to hear it Justin. You'll be happy you did.

Will Bowmore Darkest do or should I get something else?

Need to figure out what I'll be bringing =P I was thinking maybe my Glenrothes 1987 or perhaps my Isle of Jura Suprestition. Maybe both!

Justin has made me decide something that I have thought about. I have a bottle of 100 year old Scotch.....actually, it is better stated as a 100 year old bottle of scotch. Vatted in 1908. I am bringing it with me. What better way to use this bottle, than to share it with the guys I enjoy time with and some good cigars. I'll bring a sleeve of tasting cups.
Justin - Kilts Saturday evening?

Stacy

Certainly Stacy! If Ashokan is not a special occasion, then I don't know what would be. If i remember I'll bring what's left of my bottles of Ardbeg Supernova committee release and my Signatory vintage single cask Laphoraig as well, the two best (in my opinion) on my shelf.

...if you guys are just looking for a good excuse to get likkered up and cross-dress, count me out.

Kidding! I'm kidding!!!!

I'm fine with the cross-dressing part.

I'M JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!

I suppose now is a good enough time to take a weight off of everyone's minds - unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this year. Contrary to all of my expectations, the latest board meeting had both the finance committee chairperson and the treasurer point out that our expenditures for the last fiscal year have surpassed the allotted quota.

By a hella large amount.

I'm certain that many of you will be relieved (don't bother to thank me, Kevin), but I must admit that I'm heartbroken. You folks are just going to have to come up with your own shenanigans, this year.

That sucks Matt!
I have to admit....Ashokan is still up in the air for me this year. My nephew is getting hitched that friday night! So I wouldn't be able to get there till Sat.

The kilt show sounds very tempting.............I hope Aldo doesnt have one!
