Atienza Kali Combat Archery

I noticed that filam can't stop talking for nothing. He even posts to himself when nobody wants to talk with him anymore. He stayed on this thread all last night by himself, kept posting and answering his own posts. Kinda funny though. If he was'nt such a lyin, wacked out nut job he might actually be kinda fun to have around.

Nate Defensor was the name of the Chicago teacher I could'nt remember yesterday. Yes, I was going to actually take a couple lessons from him, but then I just decided to learn from someone else. A friend recomended another teacher to me. I never met Nate. Thats just another one of filams fantasies. Its wierd how I don't actually even know filam personally, just met yesterday, yet he is always talking about who I trained with, and he talks like he knows me.

I know who Rex and Ray are. They are the 2 stocky filipino twin guys that kinda look like Budha.

Paul Riz, is he the serrada guy? I think he is the one I seen doing a demo with his student, lost control of his stick, and smacked his own student in the face with the stick and busted his lip open. Then hit himself in the head with his own stick. He's not bad, he was just going way faster then he can control. I'm pretty sure that is the same guy. I believe he has a few brothers that are thai fighters or something, and they follow tacossa around. Are these the right people?

Yes, I bet you really do know Rex and Ray armbreaker. You guys probably had a threesome with each other last night.I bet you that you were the one in the middle like a little Filipino sandwich.Pandasal de armbreaker. You butt pirate!

Hi Guro Mike, that looks like a really great seminar. I may attend. I met Tuhon McGrath in the early eighties when he and Grand Tuhon were still friends.I have not talked to him a long time, so this might be a great opportunity for old friends to get together.I may even give a demo of my family system.Edge and gaybreaker, you guys can come too.Although, gaybreaker please leave your boyfriend at home and please!...no hitting on the other men at the seminar.

Hey Filam, why is it that you always involve sex acts in your comments? Are you ok? Need someone to talk to? Your hero guru Mike is back on board.

I'm telling you armbreaker! You better watch your tone! Especially when mentioning Guro's name! Sure, I could use some0ne to talk to. How about your mom!Oh, wait! She to busy to talk considering she has my dick in her mouth!

Filam, you seem to have a very disturbing fetish or attraction for guru "milkman mike". You are very touchy feely when we speak of him. I think you should more time talking about martial arts, and less about guru Mike and your sexual preferences.

How does your family martial arts system compare to PEKITI? Does your family system specialize, single stick or double stick? What are its focal points, what does your style stress?

I'm trying to get you to talk more about martial arts, and less about all the other garbage you bring up. I feel like I'm teaching kids class again.

Filam, you might want to be careful of all your gay overtones. There might be some actual gay people on this forum, and you might be offending them. I think that is how you drove off edge fighter. Do you know all of these people on this forum personally? Some of them might be gay. This is why I think you are actualy a high school kid, or probably a gradschool kid haveing fun with your parents computer. I know you are having fun, but relax with all the verbal attacks.

Well guys, it's been fun but I'll confess that I'm lost. I can't figure out whether there's 2-3 guys on here role playing and having fun or if the tone is really as vicious and nasty as it appears. I can't say that I have any more interest either way.

Tuhon Bill wouldn't have any interest either, so if you do decide to go to his seminar, I'd revert back to "yes sir, no sir" mode.

I'd be happy to continue to converse in a respectful manner, but I'd like to know who the players are before I waste any more time over here at BladeForums.com. My name, picture, and address are all listed at my website:

Sorry you feel that way Steve.I've actually decided to resign from this forum.I just wanted to share my opinion and perspective on this art and a couple of new members who I don't even know, decided to ruin the thread for me.I am just going to do what I always have been doing and that is to preserve my family's system Mandirigma Combatan.Guro Mike, I will get in touch with you soon.I hope everything is well with you and your family.

FilAm why don't you just tell us your name before you leave. It's not like I'm going to go through the phonebook find out where you live and show up on your door step.;)

Best,

i'm confused as well, but i play nice...:)
i just don't understand all the name-calling and bickering...differences of opinions are ok....that's all they are-OPINIONS...they are a dime-a-dozen.

anyway, any of you guys interested in meeting just shoot me a PM or email.

looking forward for you to contact me FilAm2007...it would really help me refreshing my memory as to how and when we met, and i'm also interested in seeing your family art, especially the Ifugao Buno, since our Lumad Buno is from Mangyan tribe...i'd like to see the similarities.

thanks.

For sure Guro Mike.I will get in contact with you soon. I have been very busy with my other work.

Filam, when did you learn the Ifugao system? Or a system from that region? I remember on another thread you said your dad was from the Iffugao region and you wish you could learn a kali system from that area, now all of a sudden you have a family Ifugao system your family teaches???? Before you were calling it Mandarigma combatan. I think someone is lying to us here.

Hi..im from the philippines and im quite surprised to hear that our type of martial arts have made it overseas. Anyway about the archery thing that filam and edge fighter has been arguing about, it doesnt really matter what each of you guys think about the art because what really is important is the significance of that type of art to you. I understand filams opinion about archery being impractical in today modern world. I understand that he just wants to learn practical martial arts he can use in an emergency so he doesnt wanna waste time with something as old as that. Edge fighters opinion on archery is no less valid than filams opinion. As a true blooded filipino who has been living here for the past 30 years, i do appreciate old traditions because that is what gives us our identity. Although i agree that archery isnt at all practical in todays world, we must always respect the different aspects of AMF including archery because it is also ingrained in its past. Lets not start hurling childish words over each other just because you cant agree on it. Martial artists settle things with fist not with typing insults on a keyboard. It is not fitting of a gentleman and a martial artist to to squabble over little things and act like children. Please try to act like the people you look up to. If your masters see you argue in this manner your both gonna take a beating.
Anyway martial arts isnt just about finding the best ways to beat other people silly. If you lose sight of its traditions then you lose sight of what you are trying to learn. Every master knows the basics and archery is a basic part of the AMF system. Archery teaches the skill of patience, timing and concentration....something that every form martial arts has. The skill and strength needed to effectively wield a bow and arrow is no laughing matter. The principles involved in learning these skills can be applied to just about any part of AMF so it should not be shrugged off. Even samurais in the old days has to learn how to arrange flowers and write haikus. There is an old saying that goes like "from one thing you can learn a thousand things". Sorry if im saying too much here but the thing is a warrior with no moral values or love of tradition is just a mere weapon with no soul. Knowledge no matter how old or new will always have a use given the right circimstances.

Why thank you saint.....im just tired of going to forums and seeing people act this way over nothing. Wether it be the psp vs ds, briefs or boxers...it never really ends. People should just find a common ground and accept what others think about the subject. Arguements like this arent really necessary and more often than not goes nowhere near the subject at hand. Plus all these name callings degrade any forum and would put off most potential members if they were to see this. So please guys if you wanna fight do this the old fashioned way cause your not going to settle anything in this manner of fighting. Just post you opinion and try to leave it at that, you cant force anyone to change anyones opinion this way. I just hope that i didnt offend both of you, so please try to understand what i am trying to say. Were all grown ups here so act accordingly.
Anyway ill try checking out this atienza kali combat archery, seems interesting to me. I do own a huge bow and arrow but i dont have the knowledge in its proper use. I accidentally put a hole in our pvc piping while practicing with it.....the whole place was wet and my dad made me do the plumbing repair.
