Awesome People Around Here...

It cooled off here, too...finally! Can’t wait to get out in the woods!
I hear that. Looks like the wife and I's camping trip at the end of the month is canceled. Oh well, the cabin is cheaper.

Fall is the best weather! Cool and windy here today. Smells like leaves outside. Love it!
Love the smell of the leaves too, especially when going for a hike through the woods.

Sorry to hear that. Do you have to pay a lot to camp somewhere?
It's just $12 per night for the primitive camping. Problem is money. Usually is. Until I get a few of these bills caught up, in less than a year, we won't be able to do much. If we go camping, I'll have to buy firewood, gas money to southern Illinois, food, camping fees, then gas for the trip to southern Missouri from there, more food, then the gas to go home. If we just go to the cabin, it'll be gas money there, food, gas money back. We can cut up out own firewood there.

Mostly my car is the limiting factor for me, the Civic's low ground clearance stopped me from going on the old wood roads and logging roads to jump off in to the literal middle of no where, not as far as I use to to due to healthy issues. Still can canoe (when I pilfer sis's canoe) on smaller lakes, rivers ok, big lakes when the wind picks up I don't go on any more alone. But of late been stomping and romping on the old farm stead studying the dear deer trails and numbers. Fortunately the wolves eat the car kills/cripples or the smaller deer that seem to creep in to the area leaving the bigger meaty ones for us. If it wasn't for cars hunting and killing all them deer, the bald eagles would migrate like they use to and not stay around all year like they do now.

Totally understand that. The cabin will be fun, though, I’m sure. :)
