Back by Popular Demand... What folder do you guys carry?

I saved this thread long ago, but have only periodically peeked at it. Alas, I will weigh in.

I have carried a PM2 or a ZT0566 daily for a long time. I enjoy both. On occasion, I pocket a Mini-griptillian or a Kershaw Blur... but only for a few days per year. On Father's Day 2015, my mom gave me a $40 check, and I pulled the trigger on my first SAK Farmer. I added that to my left pocket, still carrying either the PM2 or ZT.

(Side note: I like the Delicas and Enduras, too, and have several of each. They're generally in kits, and almost never in my EDC rotation.)

I discovered the Farmers come in colors, and true to my compulsive tendencies, I began collecting them in any color I could get my hands on. I really enjoy the utility of the Farmer without having to carry a multi-tool.

Over time, the clip on my PM2s (I have 4) has worn distressed spots on my jeans. I don't mind unless I am wearing my "good jeans" that are not cheap. Recently I began pocketing a GEC 77 Yankee Jack in stag. It's not tacticool, but I enjoy the "gentleman's knife" essence of it.

I EDC a S!K Necker 2 on my left side, and a Glock, so even when carrying a GEC, I don't feel stripped down.

I enjoy reading about what you guys carry. I watch the CRK / Sebenza guys with curiosity and quiet admiration. I like the Hinderer-esque features of my ZT0566... and have never had the pleasure of experiencing the top shelf knives. The most I've ever spent on a folder is $175 for a Sprint PM2.

I enjoy you guys, and am going to go read through this whole thread. All the best! Brett

I'm with ya on the Farmer. They're so useful, it's ridiculous. I switch between a farmer and a Vic Spirit tool everyday, but the farmer just disappears in the pocket.

Have you guys seen these! The Pioneer X now with scissors. I might be picking one up

Oh that's definitely the ticket for a Spyderco!
I was going to wait for an M4 PM2, but I think I'll have to try out a Delica soon.

I could help you out with that, I recently picked up an FFG Delica (NIB) that I might be looking to drop as the wide profile doesn't suit me as well as some of my other folders.

Hmmm, that IS tempting! Though I admit that I've been carrying my Gerber Dime as my multitool along with another main knife more often than I carry either my Farmer or Harvester. But that new Pioneer will make a perfect gift-knife for some folks! I just need to add a clip.

Sounds great bud! Let me know if you want to let it go.

That's on the list also. I wouldn't mind if they got rid of the can opener and replaced it with a saw blade.

Woah check that out!

Sebenza 25 blade bigger than 3.5?! Long live the folder!!

Wow I didn't think the CRK's where that big!
I still need to take time off to go check those out.

Blade on the 25 is 3.625" long and .140" thick. 8.335" overall. Large hollow ground. Slices was better than the old 3.5.

I still ordered a new 3.5 though!

I bet! It's impressive to see some of the hard use CRK's out there and how well the handle a beating.

Those will be very difficult to come by. And they will be flipped immediately for at least a 50% premium.

I hope they do a run of at least 1000. One sale per person would help a lot also, but I know these companies don't give a damn.

Even if spyderco did a run of 1500, their customer base is so large, and flippers smell a quick buck, it would last shorter than survive's Monday sales.

3 of my favorite folders I carry and use. The seb shares a birthdate with my son, so it's special to me.
