Bad experiences with BladeGoblin

We can certainly leave Neil out of the equation.

Instead of each of us making 12 posts a day. I'm going to make this my last one. No matter how you try to present things. I have seen with my own eyes enough to know that my opinion of you is not going to change. If you can convince the other people on this forum that you are an upstanding guy, all the best to you. That's something you are never going to convince me of. We can continue this till the cows come home and it won't change a thing.

As I stated before, let's stick to the facts, this thread is about me and Artem.

Isn't it a fact that you poorly handled the shipment of Artem's knives?

Edit: We all see you down there reading the thread. Obviously, my question is not one you want to answer truthfully since, as soon as you admit that you screwed the pooch on sending the knives in a responsible manner, then you're on the hook for replacing Artem's money.

You're just repeating what Keith said, I would ask that people refrain from posting comments like Suzy did, unless you have read everything presented here and then only if you have something helpful to add.
Something helpful to add.......something helpful.......hmmmmm*ponders*.......
Oh yeah- you stiffed Artem on $200 and have no plans of making it right.
That should be plenty helpful for any potential buyers you might ever have.
How's that?;)

Keith, you are completely missing the point.

I'm not trying to change your opinion or anyone else's opinion of me, merely defending myself from false accusations, concerning Neil.

If a party in a deal is unhappy with the deal...it is a bad deal...however...Artem basically said that he wanted to walk away from this and Anthony is off the hook.....OK from Artem's side...done...

But everyone else should keep in mind the basic principles at work here, which are " I got mine, so screw you"....which is succinctly what Anthony is saying...Not the way we as a community would interact, I would hope...as a matter of fact, despite a few minor points, my transaction with Anthony back in the day, as well as Artem, were both smooth, with no complaints....the lack of "do unto others" as a guiding principal is problematic, however.

I think I made that quite clear already and stated my reason.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

Generally, lipping off to ape-armed raw meat eaters who live in your backyard, shoot the heads off pins at 300 yards on a bad day, when you yourself are a scant buck-fifty at best, internets or no, is ill advised.

Oh, Anthony....I TRULY hope that you straighten out, fly right, and remove your cranium from your colon....keep hope alive!;)

Best Regards,

Care to answer this simple question, BladeGoblin? It seems as though you are ignoring it.

BladeGoblin may never have shipped a knife to Russia before, and wouldn't know which carrier would do the best job. If you have previously received knives from the US and have found what you consider to be the best method of shipping, you should give that information to the seller. I do however agree that when shipping anything of value that only a method that includes tracking is acceptable.

Also, there has to be an agreement on the part of the buyer before the seller can put the loss on to the buyer. A seller can't just ship something and if it gets lost or stolen say to the buyer that it is his/her problem.

NO EXCUSE FOR BLADEGOBLIN! That stinks of crooked! If he is such an ol pro, and has ANY common sense, you always use a tracking number even in the same state in the USA! Not cool at all! If he paid with paypal, he should ask for his money back! Cabelas, cheaper than dirt or whom ever you by something from via the mail is responsable for making sure you received your package and if not they refund you or send you another package! This whole thing with "once it leaves my hands Im not responsible" seems to be a knife maker, knife seller thing as I buy lots and lots of gear including lots of guns/knives and ALL the folks I buy from are responsible for making sure package arrives in my hands. PERIOD! Keiths point on sellers responsibility is right on the money!

Right on Mr. K: "If a party in a deal is unhappy with the deal...it is a bad deal...however...Artem basically said that he wanted to walk away from this and Anthony is off the hook.....OK from Artem's side...done...But everyone else should keep in mind the basic principles at work here, which are " I got mine, so screw you"....which is succinctly what Anthony is saying..."

I have a superstitious streak that comes from my jeans :) Is it only a coinkydink that goblin means a "grotesque, elfin creature of folklore, thought to work mischief or evil." The man's name is a warning to all buyers. In my ethnic saucepot of a background, one doesn't willingly do business with goblins.

Actually I'm 200 and calling someone Captain obvious, isn't lipping off. Anything else that isn't relative that you care to bring up?

Wanna hear what I consider smart?

Shall we bring height into this? The length of my hair? Eye color?

Love to hear what you consider smart, Anthony...

Have you gained a lot of weight? When we met I was 160, and as I recall you are not that much taller than myself, but it might have been a mirage produced by the alcohol.;)

Here is a relative question.....why have you decided it is ok to steal from another Forumite?

No, I've been 200 for the past 10 years, it's my playing weight, you might say.

160? I do reps of 10 with 205 on the bar (benchpress) freeweights, not machine. My max for one rep is in the region of 275? I haven't done one rep recently.

But compared to my brother, who benches 415 it's not good.

Anything else? I'll let you get the last word Steven, since that is your intention.

Anything else?

Sure. Do you mind explaining why you so poorly handled the shipment of Artem's knives? Because as far as explanations go, this one bites--namely because it is fine to ship a knife to Russia and because you can track international packages via at least two USPS options that offer insurance.

He should have given me some special instructions and mentioned that "most sharp objects are illegal to ship to Russia" (WHICH THEY ARE) since he never mentioned that, I shipped them the way I always ship outside the country and they didnt make it.

Someone mentioned earlier in this thread, who has done business with me before, who lives in the U.S. where packages can be traced, that had this been him, I would have treated him the same way. Not a fair statement, these are completely different circumstances.

Well, BladeGoblin is never going to address my question. He just made as much clear to me via PM.

It's the one line of thought that leads to his culpability and his responsibility.

I'll respect the "private" part of Private Message, but here was my response to him:

Guyon via PM said:
Anthony, I think you've made that fact quite clear. But again and again, you fail to address the central issue which bothers the BFC community.

You didn't ship his knives in any sort of adequate fashion. And you refuse to acknowledge responsibility for that fact and where it leads. Instead, you've made weak excuses.

People are going to continue to call you out until you make it right. Your choice.

i wouldn't.

especially if he is able to provide an actual answer, or his pm provides further proof of a lack of integrity.

He simply reiterated that he is not going to pay back Artem.

He did not address the question about shipping at all.
