Balls_tothe_Walls (Heath Helton) is a scammer

one has to wonder how does a former "manager" at a sonic fast food joint be able to afford to buy, resell and trade this many knives.........maybe its possible?

he sure seems to be moving very very slowly if at all. shouldnt take this long to fix this if what he said is true....but somehow im not buying it. there is more to this story not being told by heath.......

I had a 6 month break working for the military and took a job as a manager of a Taco Bell had I stayed the full year I would have made ~50k with bonuses. I wouldn't have had time to run a scam since I had one day off and worked close to 100 a week in the 6 months.

No, I am not Heath. I joined Blade Forums because I have a small collection of pocket knives.

I read this post because I find these types of things fascinating, and I made the mistake of posting what I thought was a reasoned measured take.
I've learned my lesson, and it won't happen again.

Then just put some friggin details in your profile. Don’t forget to include who you are, and where you live.
Don’t be coy, now that you have declared your interest. We are not just a mean band of rogue knife enthusiasts.
All of us would be ready to apologize in a moment, if a person could prove sincerity and honesty, and show monetary disclosure of agreeable intentions.

Not the greatest choice on your part to go contrarian on this sort of thread just hours after joining. You can go against the flow on these threads, but you better be a good swimmer

As for Balls being threatened(presuming he even was), it certainly isn't right, but sort of goes with the territory when you take peoples money-especially at Christmas. Some of those sales were for the sole purpose of providing for their family's. People don't take that lightly. Even the Grinch returned the presents.

I always wanted to be in a band. :p WOW, the rogues!

Groups of roaming Racoons are also called bands, but they don’t create music. It’s interesting that we have these words with dual meanings.
In Brazil, where I’m at now, we have roaming bands of Coatimundi. If you don’t bother them, they are neutral. If you inadvertently separate them from their offspring, they may get aggressive, and can shred a person to pieces.
I guess that we have to choose the right band, for each purpose.

Interesting update. I run @edcthieves on Instagram. Which is my own personal account for dealing with people who have scammed others in this community. Anyways I log in and low and behold a pop up says "Your Post Has Been Removed". I am like WTF! So I look at my posts and wouldn't you know it's the one about our buddy Heath. Since that post went up in late January numerous people DM'd me saying I shouldn't post pictures with his kids (Which I didn't. It was a screenshot of the profile where HE put a picture of his kids up as his avatar.) and how innocent he was and so on. I ignored them because I've done my homework on this winner. So I am left to assume someone close to him or Heath himself reported it to Instagram under the form of "Harassment" or something like that. So naturally I'm pissed because without a doubt I know this guy has scammed people. I posted it on my story and someone messages me about a knife his buddy was looking to trade Heath, I know right. Who in their right mind would trade with him? Anyways he traded his and naturally their were problems. He went back and forth and long story short that knife was raffled on the reddit sub /Knife_Raffle by Heath. (gasps) I messaged the mods of that sub and asked about Heath's username @Balls_tothe_Walls and whether or not he was a mod. I was messaged back an interesting message which is attached in this message. I am left to think at this point he is part of some "Good Ol' Boys" club that goes a lot deeper than we think. I almost fell off my chair when the mod of that sub referred to him as a "victim". It's unreal. None the less I'll be putting him back up on my IG page tonight. It should also be noted that he is actively raffling knives on that reddit sub. Knives that are possibly stolen or not paid for. The mods apparently don't feel despite the OVERWHELMING evidence supporting his suspect character that he should not be a part of that community so I will NEVER participate in a raffle on that sub. Just thought I'd give a little update of my own. Be safe out there! View attachment 857980

Your "homework" is just reading the fire that is this thread and the bullshit you all created on Instagram. It's pathetic how quick you are to jump down the hole of trying to destroy someone who has done nothing but try to make this right. Note that the home for Heath on the knife-net is on Reddit. We all know him, we know the story, and we are doing our damnedest to protect our friend who is doing everything he can to recover from this wretched misunderstanding. I tried talking to you on Instagram too, where I had known you to be a kind and generous person. This is just sad and ugly.

33 Pages of people writing "ah, what a shitty guy" doesn't add anything to your "proof" - it's just endless trash.

Hmm. Your first post (which are few) outside of selling. And you insult everyone and defend a lying thief. News flash = the liar and scammer could have made it right when the *hacked* excuse started.

Now to real facts: has anyone here been made whole in the last several weeks by heath helton?

If he had stayed in communication here (at least with the mods) it would never have gone south so quickly. Why go dark like that?

You have the audiences attention-So what is this Plausible story and does it cover why the charge backs, what happened to the money, why he has not contacted every one that he owed and explained what it was and what he was doing to pay them back, and does this story match what he said in the past. From what I have seen from Emails of his and posts over there, he hasn't even put together a complete list of those he owes and what he owes them, much less know if knives he is selling have been paid for or not. I am perfectly willing to hear what you have to say, but I am not interested in fairy tales and incomplete stories.
The floor is yours-your chance to fill in the details
Heath has already had this chance and squandered it. Maybe you can do better.
No one here is afraid of the truth

You should leave here and never, ever come back.

I think he should explain why he believes that Heath is a victim.

And it better be good at this point.

Why go dark on the people that were most pissed off? Why take care of others first without any explanation whatsoever? ....If he "feels so bad"?

Tovarish Tovarish If there were extenuating circumstances that Heath didn’t feel should have been made public, he could have explained that to the mods and they would have controlled this thread, sort of like a middle man, so that Heath could have explained his side to the fullest and at least garnered some validity to his side of the situation.

Unfortunately, as was stated above, Heath was given plenty of chances and he decided to just turn his back. Heath saw the writing on the wall here, that his BS would be called out immediately, and decided to hide out on Reddit. Seems his plan worked because the Reddit members signing up here to defend him are coming out of the woodwork. What they are not doing however is providing any sort of current form of factual resolution. They’re just rehashing the past about how good of a member Heath was.

We’ve seen that smoke screen many times before, great member goes rogue. Wash, rinse, repeat.

stonesell post, appropriately 666, may apply here. Perhaps, similar to the Coatimundi, BF has a "band" which gets aggressive when separated from their money/knives.

- I didn't sign up here to write in this thread, just an fyi. Nor did Heath "hide" on Reddit, he's been our friend and community member for years. We are working on compiling hard evidence with personal info redacted so we can bring that to you all instead of he-said she-said. Heath must work with his legal council to find out what we can and can't share. Time to make this happen is appreciated.

I would like to offer some clarity to the story as well, though I understand you all don't exactly trust me and I can't yet physically prove the following:

Heath contested something on his Paypal which triggered an account-wide reaction. Because of one transaction issue, Paypal flagged every transaction he's had for a year. Considering he participates in raffles and such, you can only imagine that this added up to hundreds of small charges (among full charges for whole knife purchases, etc). That's the first part of the problem. Heath had to manually go through and approve each and every transaction. Once this was completed, Paypal returned the locked funds to Heath's bank account. HERE'S where the real problem started, and where people started getting upset. When the success against Paypal occurred, all those effected got a letter stating the money had been returned to Heath's account. This would have been the fine-and-dandy end to the chaos, save for a new problem. Heath had moved and switched banks (unrelated) around a similar time. And real quick, to anyone saying he moved *because* of this event, that's just silly. A move across half the country with your whole family into a home is not something you do over the weekend haha. Anyway, so the issue is that Paypal deposited the funds into an account that Heath no longer has. IE: there's a bank account with all y'alls money in it that Heath can't access. At this current stage, Heath is working with legal council to take action against the bank to obtain access to the account.

In the meantime, Heath has been doing his best to restore funds to those effected out of his own pocket. We've let him in to run raffles to help generate those funds. I have also considered a gofundme to help, but that has not yet occurred.

In regards to those who say they've reached out to Heath to no avail. In a few instances, I reached out directly, and was informed that certain people have been aggressive, threatening, or rude, and he has pushed those people to the bottom of his priority list. He has restored funds to multiple people. If you're not one of them then A: He is trying but just can't afford your lump sum at this time, B: He's overwhelmed right now as he works 90+ hours a week to provide for his family in their new home while also coping with this situation and simply hasn't gotten around to replying to you yet, or C: You were one of the people leaving death threats on his voicemail and as far as he's concerned, you can go to hell.

I think all of the above is fairly reasonable. I understand that if you were affected and you came here and read all of this thread, you'd be quick to pick up the next pitchfork. I get that. Let us have some more time to provide proof. Thank you.

Two questions. 1) If Heath approved the tranactions, why would the funds go to his account? They would go back to the seller. no? 2) Regarding the account at his "old bank". Was the account closed or was he not the owner of that account?

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions and help clear things up.

Tovarish-appreciate you taking the time to respond
However that is not how Heath told it back on post 10. There is no mention of a bank change problem
"I'm not scamming a damn thing. My bank took it upon themselves to review literally every single transaction from July to October. Here's a rundown in giving all involved.

To Any and All Involved:

I'm trying to clear with all. No idea why every single transaction is being accounted for. I did have someone scam my card through PayPal though. Back when most of this shit started mooonths ago. Idk how it's still popping up, as that card was cancelled months ago as well.
Quick rundown......someone got ahold of it and ran up $18K on my card and my bank was/is (I guess?) doing a full out research on it. On all these transactions that are accurate with you guys, I just go hit approve and it stops the bs. At least that's what I've done in the past. I'm on it as quickly as conceivably possible and I will have it all fixed as fast as I can cancel disputes and approve the actual wrongly purchased transactions by the imposing party that had hacked my account and charged me into a ridiculous amount of $20K+.

That's a shit ton of transactions but I'm working diligently on it. If this has effected you, I'm so sorry, I had no idea they would flag every single one of the transactions since early September that is connected to my PayPal/bank account/or card. "
