Wow. That's disappointing, to say the least. Guess I'll just stick to Spyderco's...

Sharpshooter Sheaths really ends up looking bad, too, if you read the thread over there... that guy is a grade-A ass.
 
Holy cow!!! I just finished "carefully" reading all of Stewart's posts. How can anyone come here and defend Stewart's position in this? I do agree however that there are two sides to this story; the truth by SS and the unadulterated BULLShIIT story of Mike Stewart.

I wonder if Mike is even in a position to pay the guy 16K now. I wonder if he ever will, even after he sells all the knives as he claims. I am only a small potatoe knife collector but I will never spend 1 penny on any of Stewart's knives, I would not even buy one if it was free!!! I wonder what will happen if folks just flat out refused to buy any of these knives Mike Stewart says he will sell first. Probably just another crap excuse to never repay the guy.

Someone needs to indict Stewart again and quickly!!!

**Edited to add that I just read something on the other forum. Anyone ever read anything similar by others in the past? In many States lawyer fees are paid by Mike Stewart. OOPs, I mean the loser in a civil suit!!! Several scammers in the past have all claimed to have proof they won't print, been to the Lawyer, blah. blah blah. Maybe thats where the 16K went; to Stewart's lawyers!!

That's the great thing about forums, especially this one, you get to find out what kind character the people you're sending your hard-earned money to really have! You get to find out if they're really wannabes, posing as former, super secret squirrel types, or whether they support those types of people, and you get to find out how they deal with people when it gets down to the nitty-gritty. I've learned PLENTY about who NOT to send my money to by reading these forums and skimming through the archives!;)

That's true, and neither of these companies will ever see another dime of my money. Is that a small splash in a big pond? Yeah. But, it's my splash, and that's all I can do.
 
It is interesting to note that in the last 5 years "Mike Stewart" has developed a new direct to consumer marketing strategy since he has earned such a poor reputation in the rest of the industry.

40,000 forum posts in various knife forums in 5 years. Mikey is really hustling.

Gentlemen, I have been able to allow this thread to develop on its natural way and intend to continue to do so. Please do not make work for me by posting anything derogatory about another forum. We will see infractions issued for it.

Not really a nice way to respond to someone being helpful.

You might take the time sometime to read through the FAQ to get a feel for procedures around here. Not insulting other members, for example. (That's another infraction offense.)
