Barlow Showtime come one, come all!

You have some beauties, Waynorth, and they are beautiful even on brown paper. I see you even have a couple with full blades. They must be worth a small fortune. I'm always on the lookout for Russells in really nice shape and I never seem to run into them. The one in my image is the best one I have and it's pretty rough, despite being well over 100 years old.

Well, I wouldn't throw that barlow away, KO ;) ! It's a nice knife! I know what you mean about full blades though; It's such a treasure when you find them!
Here are some Schrades from various time periods, a couple even have pretty full blades!

Just picked this one up. Old Remington barlow.

S & M make some beauties! The big one is Clarence Risner's SFO. That regular one has nice bone, too! At one of 100, it's a limited edition also!

The Remington stamps are upside down! If mine is right side up that is.
Maybe it's a rare variant!!??

I did not realize that the Big Daddy Barlow (5 1/4") was a SFO of Clarence Risner...I just received 5 knives from Clarence Risner today and I have to say that he has been first class all the way in my dealings with him and would highly recommend him to folks interested in Schatt & Morgan knives at a very fair price, this makes about 10 knives I have purchased from him...He also handles Queen, Jim Bowie & Winchester knives on his web site...

I wish this knife were mine!! I lifted this from another thread I think, but cannot remember where it came from! You'all enjoy it anyway; an interesting piece!!

Charlie, I remember seeing that one while going through some old threads on a search. It caught my eye too. Quite a piece of work!

Nope, I can't recall where it was either. I'm glad you saved the image. It is definitely an eye catcher! Pretty as it is, it looks like it was meant to be carried and used. With pride and pleasure at that!

I've always been intrigued by this little Queen City barlow (shown with Case standard and daddy barlows for size). It has winterbottom bone handles, and two blades. Neat little knife from the ubiquitous Ebay. Anyone got any tiny Barlows to compare them??

Schrade I embellished a few years ago.
I call it the Campfire Barlow.

That's a great looking knife!
BTW, is that Scottish Barlow in this thread yours Oupa?

Waynorth, the Scottish Barlow is in the hands of a mutual friend....

Are we talking about a Michigan knife dealer here, Oupa?

While this thread is near the top and reachable, I wanted to put a picture in of one of my favorite Barlows. This is an early Case Tested, in mighty fine condition. An expert knife mechanic offered to make it look mint, but I just love the patina on an old knife, and so opted to keep it as found! The only flaw is a little bone chip at the bare head, but it's not bad. It snaps wonderfully, with half stops, and the blade shape is so neat; I just love looking at this guy! It makes me wonder about how it lasted this long without getting used up or abused. Apparently it's an early one, so would be from just after WW1 (thanks Tony Foster!)!

Waynorth, that is a great looking case. I had one just like it a while back, and it had an almost identical chip on the reverse side. I think I traded it for a Remington Bullet muskrat. Can you give me some idea of how hard that little Queen City will be to find? I really need to get one.
