EDIT: Nevermind, I see it's a scrap yard 6, for some reason I thought it was a folder.

This was a majorly bad call on my part. You guys are right in saying the trade is not over until both parties are happy. I was not thinkngi when i traded it away. I wanted something different and I wanted to trade it before i used it and ruined it value...

Haha yes sir. That knife is a bohemoth(spelling??). The knife plus the sheath probably push 1.8 lbs. or so. I would like to ask everyone if this will hurt me too much? Will I still be able to trade or will people ignore me?
 
Let's see what happens.

1) The knife arrives and beandip is OK with it.
2) Someone else gives you a shot at a trade, with you shipping first, as you proposed.
3) A couple of smooth deals, and then you trade with someone, shipping at the same time, with no problems.
4) You'll be back to being a regular member again.

The biggest part of it was coming on here and not making excuses, just taking action towards a solution.

I really wish that things will turn out that way and people can start to trust me again. I hope to be liked on these forums and not known as a scammer and someone to avoid...

Mistakes and accidents happen, you did some wrong and owned up to it.

I don't think your rep will be ruined from one not so perfect transaction.

As long as Beandip recieves his blade and then follows through and makes this thread right, you'll be clear.

Thank you for understanding. I feel very bad in this situation and I hope beandip understands. You stated earlier that you were about to pm me a trade offer but stopped becuase of this thread. I must be confused. Are you still trying to trade away the knife you got from beandip? Don't you think it might be prudent to wait until he gets his end of the deal before you continue? I might be all out of sorts here, but, I will give you a word of advice. There is no faster way to screw yourself than to move a knife you just got on a trade before the other guy gets his end. Sometimes folks just decide they don't like a knife and want to trade back. If you have already sold/traded their knife you are going to end up here again.

Again, if I missed something, feel free to correct me.

I also posted in your trade thread, but once I saw what was going on, I backed out. This is a very bad way of doing business here. You must get that point, don't you? I would never trade with someone and put their knife up for trade without first knowing they are satisfied with the deal. That's how you earn respect here in the Exchange. Communication and trust are worth their weight in gold. It's even bad form to consider trading it when your part of the deal is not done. I really cannot believe you're even trying to make a deal in this thread. Take the advice given to you and just slow down and relax. It will all work itself out, just don't flake out.
 
I understand where you are coming from. I was not trying to make deal in this thread. I thought shotgunner was making an offer for a completely different knife/knives i have up for trade. If i still had the Skirmish I would not trade it. Me and beandip have been talking and i have expressed my deepest apologies. I am sending him a bonus knife for his troubles and i think he understands. Again, this is the first time I have not completed a satasfactory trade and i am trying to make it right.

Give BarrelTwist a break already, he is trying to do the right thing and by everyone persistently jumping all over him, I thinks sets a poor example. :)

Tendy, I don't think anyone is "jumping" on him......he admittedly screwed up the trade initially, has tried to make it right......however beandip is yet to receive his end of the bargain. Barreltwist is still trying to make a trade before the deal is done........which is why he got "jumped" to begin with.

Make sense?

Never, ever engage in a trade if you cannot ship your side ASAP. The only excuse for delayed shipping (or in this case no shipping) is death. Everybody is busy but 99.99% can get the item to the shipper with minimal delay so using that as an excuse is silly.

Anyone trading with you should never, ever ship their side of the trade until they have your trade in hand........................period. It is time to start repairing your rep because of the dent it has taken. Maybe in the future you can be trusted to do what you are required to in a BFC transaction of any kind; ship with minimal delay, if any.

Just remember: "You are only as good as your word". If you say you will do something, then DO IT !!!
 
Maybe it's just me and I'm a bit harsh and an a-hole... but if I was doing a trade with someone and they still hadn't shipped their item a month after they received the item I sent, their reputation is shot, PERIOD. They can make all the excuses in the world, they can apologize 'till the cows come home, but they will be a piece of crap in my book... forever. No second chances...
