Basic Urban Survival Folder

Good to hear. I figure we are a ways out on getting things back and probably hit or miss on when I can start assembling with all the work I have to start off the new year. But, rest assured I'll get after it after the 1st.

oh yeah, based on the sample piece, the .095 15N20 is noticeably thicker, but not massively thicker. If I had an accurate caliper for measuring (on my list) i'd tell you exactly, but it looks like my nominal .095 is 7/64 at finish and the sample you sent is a half a hair over 1/16

I got another order of steel in from Kelly this past week, which included a couple sticks cut to the right width for this project. It's all annealed and on the grinding bench
 
Sounds good. I got some composite in the mail from FOD this past weekend also. Haven't heard if Dave is done the BUSTR folders though.

Garnet? Are those what the cutters are made of or something? Not following. Anyway sounds good.

Its the abrasive that mixes with the water that does the cutting. I go thru about 5000lbs. a month. They are having a heck of a time getting it here with the wonderful weather.

Please keep in mind that those were samples of what I can do and the pickins were kinda slim for the thinner stuff. I'll be happy to make up more. Perhaps if there is a consensus of sorts, I'll lay up a larger sheet of something cool for this project.

Dave said he should be finished with them soon but I sent off a couple other things after that and he may wait till those are done to mail but either way this thread will be where they end up as I finish them off one by one once I have something to work with. Stay tuned.

I just finished the drawings on the other goodies so I should be cutting everything next week :D

I'll add you to the list but its in my other computer so I'll do so tomorrow. No price yet but I should know more once I square up with Dave and figure out what they need to be. I'm thinking it should be quite reasonable though but don't want to guess as to what just yet.
