Battle of the Bladesmiths

This could be legendary. Bravo!

Thanks, Bill!

Just before the competition starts, the size, quanity and type of material will be revealed.

Bill,

I was wondering what you were going to do with that pail of rusty old bolts in your shop. Now I know.

It sounds like it will be a great event.

I think there may be some confusion about who is the "Iron" bladesmith and who is the challenger. Jason is a sensitive soul, and a sound defeat could drive him back to the cases of Twinkies that used to fill his man cave, munching away in pain like a worn out hamster.

So, in the spirit of good sport, I'll try not to make him cry to early on.

Hey Wiggins, since this is patterned after Iron Chef, will you be the guy in the Medieval / queer dress, or the little troll with the microphone and running shoes?

^the glove has now officially been thrown down!

Burt, you are making it difficult for me to be neutral in all this. Remember the panel on Iron Chef? The one that crtiques at the end of the show. The panel that often makes the losing chef cry like a baby.....

Also Burt, as you seem to be playing the role of a bully, remember that no one likes a bully. Sure wouldn't want that to affect the vote.

One other little twist you should know about Burt. We are going to have a safety judge. He will have the authority to put you in "time out" should he feel you are doing something dangerous.

Finally, where were you going with the little troll and running shoes thing? Is that some kind of twisted fat joke? You know I'm sensitive about my weight.

Jim and Steve, hope both of you can make it. This is going to be great!!!!

Does the winner get to give the loser a wedgie? :p:D

This sounds like it's gonna be a blast.

I know this will be a lot of fun. At our last Blacksmith meet we had blacksmith wars, it was a take-off of junk yard wars. 6 teams had 6 hours each to build a northwest theme panel. we were team mayham I had Tom Ferry on my team and 4 other fine smiths. we worked together like the well oiled power hammer that we brought along. you could bring all the tools you wanted, the teams had the same amount of steel to work with, and there was a big pile of scarp we could use. our team came in 2nd place, but it was really about the fun we had. we auctioned off the panels and raised over $2000 for the NWBA. it was a great addition to our fall event.

Man, I wish I lived closer so I could enter this thing... :grumpy:

And get my ass kicked by the Jedi Knight and Great Wise Talker (formerly known as Burt Foster). :D

Bill Wiggins would probably be pointing and laughing too!!! At least we had San Antonio Bill...

After seeing the picture, I'm at a loss for words. That doesn't happen to me very often.

Nick, North Carolina is just a plane ride away!! And we have really great BBQ!!

I hear some old man from Missouri will be
there to show Burt and Jason how it
OUGHT to be done...;-)
