Got cut pretty deep by my 5 while prepping some pizza. The 5 is the ultimate pizza knife, imo :). Thinking of getting another one, because... however... You never know if Ka-Bar would be disco'ing the current 5 in order to distribute a revised edition of the 5? I'm not sure what they'd change but, you know... makes me curious.

Boye Dendritic Cobalt Steel is neat stuff.
I used to have one of his Basic fixed blades and loved its ability to hold a functional edge.

Hey Jonny, how come Beardlove doesn't hang out here? Or does he under a different name? Or is because I'm annoying. Is that it? Because I'm annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying?
Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying? Annoying?

He had a hard time registering with BF and just gave up.
It's too bad because he'd fit in pretty good around here.
Although, he can be annoying at times...:D

Went up north today. Split wood, drove UTV in swamp, shot my bow a little bit, and then finished it all off with some bear stew.

Just to top it all off... while putting the kids to bed... I decided to make poutine.

I could go to bed now and it would be a good night. I could have a drink and watch a little netflix to make it a great night :D... would be one of the greatest nights ever if I could convince the wife to take down the wall of pillows that divides our king bed... but that may be asking too much :thumbdn:

Poutine is the best thing to come out of Canada, and that includes Gretzky.

Have to be in Brussels on Monday for a whole day of assessment with my employer (interview, pc tests, role play,...) with regards to new functions in mid level management. . But today the government announced the highest 'alert level' or whatever you wanna call it. Subways closed. Military in the streets. Limited bus traffic. As if I'm not stressy enough for that day as a whole, they throw in that raised terror alarm. Pffff.
Be safe out there next week.

Sorry to hear that. At least you've got the entire weekend to obsess about it.

Right. It pisses me off. I'm gonna have a very busy week come Monday, with Thursday being perhaps my only day off this week.

I'm more pissed off because my busy week is because I'm deliberately being mis managed and there isn't crap I can do about it.

Mmm...pizza...
Let's see the wound!

Can't really get it on cam. Clean cut, applied pressure, kept my hand high so blood flow would be minimal, hence you can only see a thin red line at the moment. Not much to show off there.

On the other hand (literally), one of our younger cats has been less friendly. Our house pet was a wild cat that we were slowly able to domesticate, and a couple of months ago he came home with two male offspring. They were wild as well and are slowly changing their behaviour. We can already pet them and the day before yesterday one of 'em enjoyed the petting so much that I thought I'd pick him up...

Well...

That wasn't the best plan. Lol. This is today :

Cats:rolleyes:

Tibb'll I say mount an expedition up that Tibetan tower of softness and descend down the other side into Shangri La! Maybe she constructed the Himalayan cushion range as a challenge, not a preventative. Either way, once she sees how brave you are, she'll surely 'mount your expedition'. May I suggest however, doing this minus the Sherpa. In my experience they tend to be a bit on the nose. Or is that me..?

<sniff sniff>

Yeah. That's just me..

I'd settle for the poutine and a drink and not push my luck with the king size poutine in bed.

 exactly what I did. Our youngest child (a.k.a living birth control) decided to wake up and start screaming.

Believe me I tried but it didn't quite work out that way.

Angie's b-day was yesterday. We learned three things...

JT is pretty good at making/serving breakfast in bed. :)

JT is terrible at baking birthday cakes. :(

The Star of Knoxville dinner cruise on the Tennesssee River is a whole lot of fun! Also, the prime rib was pretty dang good... not the very best I've ever had, but certainly well worth the ticket  I strongly recommend it if you're in the area on a Friday or Saturday night. (youngsters are welcome)

Sounds like an awesome day JT. I also can make / serve breakfast but can't really make a cake. I let the professionals take care of that.

Gonna bet you still got some pretty awesome points in for making the attempt ;)

There are a few dinner cruises like that in Chicago as well. They go out onto the lake for several hours. It's pretty nifty and the food is pretty satisfying as well. It isn't the best thing I've ever eaten but it is pretty good!

I have made NO attempt to hide the fact I'm NOT a baker. The whole "weigh everything out to the nanogram" is NOT my style of cooking. HOWEVER, using a box of brownie mix, I make an alright chocolate lava cupcake.

Just got a call from my employer that all main offices in BXL are closed. My tests will be postponed to a date that's yet to be announced. Seems like they take stuff pretty serious.
Glad to hear it! Stay safe sir! No job is worth getting deaded over. Although some have a higher proclivity towards it.

For some reason I thought the brake hoses on my K5 were bad but I was about to go to the parts store and I looked at them and they're actually in great shape. So that's $45 I don't have to spend and a couple hours I don't have to be out in the cold under the truck.

In other news. I have a phone interview tomorrow for a job in Washington just across the Columbia river from where I used to live in Oregon, maybe an hour drive from my parents and where I grew up. My old supervisor from where I worked in Oregon is there now, I'd actually be replacing him because he's retiring. He says it's a nice place to work, which is more than I can say for my current job. Of course I don't know who else is in the running for the position but my old supervisor was CC'd by the chief in some emails so I should have a good shot at the job. Still, don't want to get my hopes up.

It'll be a pay cut since I won't be working any OT but I'm almost debt-free and single so I can afford it and I'm looking at different options for reducing my cost of living. I'll probably just find someone looking for a room mate but I was also looking at buying a travel trailer to live in. Plus WA doesn't have a state income tax so that'll help a little with the pay cut. The bad thing is if I get the job I have to buy out the lease on my apartment which is $1000 that I don't have. My dad would be happy to come down with his 2500 Dodge and trailer to help me move and I know several people I can stay with until I find a place to live up there. I'm already thinking about which guns I can stand to part with.

Im with ya there Cbear. Brownies from a box are fine. I tend to add my own special ingredients :D

Good luck with the interview bighoss

Good luck with the interview Bighoss!

TBL, because of how often I have to drop for work I don't get the opportunity to partake in that kind of recreation. C'est la vie though I get to do other things that are still fun. Like cooking and camping and speeding...
