I'd call the local po-po to the last address it disappears at and schedule a friendly visit...Thats just bullcrap in every sense of the word. I would've only kept it maybe 3 days...that's more than enough time to try something out.
 
Is this one with Thrill also? mrn8's a good chap. The decals he sent me were perfect, and I'll be getting more from him as I figure out what my makers mark should look like. If Thrill ever shows up with our steel (he's got a LOT of my stuff, which he was supposed to be kydexing and have shipped more than a month ago) I bet mrn8 would do a good job with it.

that trick rarely works from what i've seen (and read) over in the complaint pit. a few guys have managed to cough up the goods (a sword in particular) when some local members showed up to give him the idea that "we know where you live, we know what you drive, now then, about that sword?". the police are easy to ignore in that respect. either you just don't answer the door the few times they show up, or you say something like "yup, i sent that on already, no i don't have a receipt, ask the post office, they know me" and then the knife is "just lost, so sorry"
 
Well, if steel hasn't been returned to its rightful owner in a timely manner, BH#'s will be lost, and I will see to it they get banned from BFC.

I had a blade go absent on a passaround, but later found out the reason why, and apologies were made, and friendships continued.

I hate to see this stuff go wrong, it ruins it for everyone.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure life has just gotten in the way and I get that, I've been flaky to the moose and rogue bowie about getting a couple things mailed so, it happens. A few friendly emails sent off won't hurt anything though.

Dude, with me you're talking about a gift. If it takes you 10 years to mail it I don't care, I am still grateful you thought of me to send me something. Trust me I am not pacing by the door or thinking ill of you. Take your time!

P.S. Sorry to hear you and others have steel missing currently. From my interactions with TB he seems like a great guy, so some serious sh** must be going on in his life. Hopefully everything works out for the best for everyone.
 
timely indeed. it costs next to nothing to check into the forum, and seriously, if all that's in the way is the cost of postage, i'm sure that can be fixed.

return the warez or ... well. yeah. return them. soon.

so thrilly hasn't logged in to the system in over a month... not a good sign. he's had more than enough time, yes? people even offered to pay his postage?

i propose, like now, he's on full Becker suspension. he'll keep his number, but no privs, rights, etc. that means "no gathering", no reccy's for sheath work, no prizes, contests, or anything like that.

if he doesn't return the knife ASAP, i'd say 7 actual days from now, though some softies might offer him a little more due to "life"... we'll go the next step, de-Beckerization.

final step is that we ask Spark to suspend him from BF for all time.

other mods? second? third? Ethan?
 
I hate to say it, but theres a lot of people with blades that are mia and something does need to be done to get them back in the owners hands. I know that including myself there are at least 5 people that have blades waiting to come home.

if they're Beckerheads, and they value their place in the community, tell all, and we'll encourage them.
 
Not sure if you read that wrong or if I'm interpreting your post wrong, but I was saying there are a lot of people that have knives with Thrill that are waiting to get them back.
 
fine. in that case i'm going with my original suggestion:

+ immediate BH suspension. period. nobody send him money, or knives. no events / activities / contests / etc.

+ he's got 7 days to respond AND make amends - that's knives in hand or tracking numbers at least to the owners, not a promise. all property and such will be returned, Sept 10 by 8pm eastern time, else BH status revoked, and his number up for grabs.

+ after that, he'll go up for Spark's review and banishment.

i hope you guy's get your stuff back. sounds like close to $1k in knives, at least.

apparently you have people's knives for work/etc. many of them haven't heard from you in ages. they're badly worried.

these people want their stuff back, ASAP.

effectively now, you're on BH suspension. in a week, if you haven't made amends, it's proposed we yank your BH number. after that, it gets worse.

to a point, we're willing to work with ya, but well, please don't ignore us.

hopefully that gets your attention? if not, good knowing you.

With me, it's the FFG BK17 Passaround and a spare set of scales. Thrill was first in line and there is at least seven other Beckerheads anxiously waiting their turn.
Last heard from Thrill regarding it on 07/17/12.

Its not a Becker but I won a contest here in the Becker forums by Crimsonfalcon for one of his handmade knives. He sent it to Thrillbilly for a sheath. Back in May... TB kept saying he would get it to me soon. I finally asked him to forget the sheath just send the knife but no luck. Haven't got a response to any PM's from him in a long time now.
