If any of you rascals puts a snake in my tent or throws one at me, I will (after my hysterical girly freak-out) beat you like a rented mule and we won't be friends anymore. You will definitely NOT get any more delicious food from my wife.

I truly hate snakes. Yes, I'm aware that they have a tremendously-important role in the ecosystem. But not anywhere near me.

Just sayin'.

I guess that means I need to bed down next to a different snake-killer.

Looks like I will not be able to make this one...I will miss it though and hope everyone stays safe and has a great time!! Hopefully at least once next year.

Here's the bush sword that cf7 sent along. Next to a 18" Tram machete for scale. Bush sword is a lot thicker.

That looks really good! Are we going to get in trouble if we break it? You can't put Becker handles on it and not expect us to beat the shit out of it.

Lol just don't put anything in gustys hands that you don't want broke. The more expensive it is the faster he breaks itI.

Not crazy-different from my other stuff, but not entirely the same, either. I'll be asking you lunatics to put this thing through its paces, if anyone's interested.
 
We are planning on putting together a coal pizza oven out there so we can use that for the masonry and joining stuff. Not sure what kind of handle material that is but I hope it sheds concrete fairly well.

I honestly don't mind batonning a knife through a tree... I know how to do it without breaking the blade, and I know them rascals do, too. I draw the line at doing masonry work with a handmade knife, though. :grumpy: Knives are meant for cutting stuff, trowels are meant for slathering on mortar. :mad:
