Thought I'd share a photo of my typical jogging route. It's the Arthur Ravenel bridge that spans the Charleston Harbor. about 2.5miles one-way.

Thank ye kindly, sir. rokclmb is the one who's kickin ass, though.

Thanks
I do what I can. So far I'm a about 3/4 of the way to my goal for the month, right on track for my low goal for the year and a little bit behind my main goal for the year.

I'm back from a long weekend in NYC. I was able to get in a bit of walking there:

2/13 - 1.0
2/14 - 2.5
2/15 - 1.0
2/16 - 0.5

Current Total BPs: 16.38

Today I got my weekend long run in. 15 miles

15 + 71 = 86BP for February

Rokclmb, I have a question for you, if you don't mind this quick diversion. In your pics, I noticed you wear a hydration vest. I've recently started jogging and, living in the desert, would like to wear some water. I've researched all manner of hydration vests and like the looks of the Nathan Endurance and a Gregory whose name I've forgotten. What do you wear, and what do you look for in a good vest? Thanks in advance! If the mods would prefer this question become a separate thread, just let me know.

Currently I'm wearing an Ultimate Direction SJ Ultra Vest. I like it because it has two water bottles in pocket on my chest, but also could hold a Camelbak style bladder in the back. I like the dual water bottles because when I'm running and it's very hot I can carry water in one and Gatorade in the other. I can use the water to pour on my head to help cool off as well as staying hydrated. The water bottles are also easier to refill than a bladder in a backpack. There are a few other brands that have water bottles on the front and some that have them on the back. I used to use a Camelbak belt that held one water bottle on my back, but I had to make the belt very tight to keep it from sliding off. This running vest also has a backpack area that is made of very light weight and stretchy materials. I haven't had to put much in the pack yet but know that I could easily carry a jacket and pants incase I was running where there were extreme temperature changes, or needing an extra layer before or after running.

Finished preparing all my tax forms for my tax preparer, too. Whew.

Thanks for your reply, rokclmb! I'd completely ignored water bottle vests until reading your reply. I like the idea of bringing both water and Gatorade, and the ability to hold a bladder makes the SJ much more attractive to me. I'm going to look further into this model. Thanks again!

The water and Gatorade idea came to me last summer when I needed to carry something to drink but I also wanted to be able to pour cold water on my head.

There are many brands of packs out that can carry bottles on the front and a bladder in the pack. I think Camelbak makes one and I know Solomon makes them. Ultimate makes three different models with the SJ being the middle sized pack. I'd recommend, just like any other backpack, shop around and find one that fits the best.

maybe ive bitten off more than i can chew, but I've signed myself up for a 5k and a 10k this weekend....

Anyways, I just returned from a 4-and-some-change mile run, but we'll just make it an even 4 for argument sake. My body was fighting me the whole way, definitely wasn't feeling it today, not sure why.

That being said....February MYB Challenge COMPLETE!
