Which tarp is that? I have the 10x10 I ordered from there and it has grommets. I want that one.

http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___22220. flame retardant too. this one is 2 lbs whereas the grommet version is 2 lbs 8 oz.

I managed to find Campmor (in Paramus, NJ, right?) one time when I was up visiting my wife's uncle in... heck, can't remember the place now... it was near Morristown. Anyway, AWESOME place, and great deals.

yup, paramus. there's ramsey outdoors 5 mi before and after it too...every hike i factor in 3 hrs into my schedule just for stopping-by at those stores! haha.

Is it square or odd shaped? The pics make it look weirdly shaped.

mine is square for sure. i just wish the tabs were loops though, like the bcusa one. i'll just tie them into a loop and cut off the excess later tonight. it's nicely reinforced too. wonder how this compares to the bcusa one?

That is really cool bro. I have the grommet one and was just thinking weekend before last how strained it looked on those points. Plus there are only four grommets per side, and nothing on the middle for a ridgeline. Going to have to pick one of these up. Maybe sew the straps together into some decent loops?

Sorry if I missed it, but how much was the tarp? Looks like something Id like to pick up soon.

$45. i saw tonym's 10'x10' bcusa tarp at the overnighter and i'm convinced it's the perfect size. with my 6'x8' i had to do the sniper-style ground crawl to get in and out of it since it was so low.

Man!! I can't wait for my in-laws to leave. My MiL has been here for almost 3 months and my BiL has been here for going on a month. It's waaaaaaay past time for them to leave.

Dudes, I know there have been some posts directed at me. I'm in the Hospital right now, i cut my knee while felling a tree with my Fiskars. My sinews weren't damaged, but i cut my meniscus, so i will wear an orthesis for at least 6 weeks now. I already walked around a little bit today (had the surgery yesterday) so i think i will be ok.

Bluesstringer, i remember you asking me abot carrying my 14 concealed, i do so because it is very unusual to carry fixed blades here. I was just confused about you concealing your 2 because i just didn't think it would be neccessary, let alone comfortable to carry such a big knife IWB.

I will have complete knee functionality restored in 9 months. Sux0rz. Until then i will have to use crochets (dunno if thats the correct word, things that you use to move around when you can't use one leg).

Mwtic, i love your bk14 sheath. If i didn't already have my kydex, i would be bugging you to sell me one right about now.

All that doesn't mean that i wont compete in the april challenge, i am heavily impaired now and i will be for the rest of april, but that wont keep me from competing. Muahahahahahaaaa!!!

Somehow i cant use the beckerchat here (only got my phone) but i hope i will figure it out so i can fight boredom by talking to you guys. Derek, we need a beckerchat android app!

So long, wish me luck and take care,

Maethor

3 months, wtf. Dude, I know how to get rid of them. do you have a dog?

Yes I do. I have a 160lb French Mastiff. What are you thinkin'??

That is a real bummer to hear about your knee. I hope you heal well, and are back to being well again soon. Looks like you'll be taking it easy for a little while. On a good note though......you didn't cut your leg off. ;)

sorry to hear about your knee Maethor, get well soon. It's good to know that you'll regain complete knee functionality.
crochets=crutches

Tradewater, language barrier strikes again. What do you mean with "did your hatchet glance?"

Thank you all for the kind words and the concern, i think i will be outta here before the weekend. I will be fed antibiotics intravenously until wednesday, but now that i have my phone and the forums, i think ill be good.

Looks like i was lucky my hatchet was sharp-i shaved a bit with it on saturday. So all i did was a clean cut that will heal quite fast. I already ha dthe drain removed (had about 8" of tubing in my knee to let all the gross stuff out) and the 9 inches of stitching on the side of my knee look totally awesome :D im not in pain or anything, just bored as hell, so if you've got some spare time shoot me a mail with something that'll make me laugh... would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your support.

Maethor

Oh, and btw, i'd like to get rid of my bk9 including the new leather sheath and trade it for a bk2. I hope it is ok to post this here. The bk9 is just too big and heavy for what i can do with it. If anyone is interested please send me an email. If it is not ok to post this here, im very sorry, but i can't afford gold right now.

Take care

Maethor

A little late to the party, but sorry to hear about your knee, Maethor. Hope you get well soon, and hopefully the meds don't keep you from beer! Best part about my German/Austrian heritage: beer and food...

After dinner some night set all the plates down on the ground and let the dog lick them all clean. Then put them back up into the cabinet without washing them. Make sure they see you do it, but don't make a big deal about it.

Well, I made it California, but have little to no internet. They want $11 a day for internet access. What a ripoff.
