I mostly listen to metal and that "disturbed type rock" you speak of. (I've seen Disturbed 4 times in concert) but I listen to a lot of classic rock too. Thorogood is heavily influenced by the blues.
 
I am one of those rare people that can't stand the Beatles. Or the Stones for that matter. I always toss my vote to Led Zeppelin for greatest rock band ever.

Of course, what I listen to regularly might get me banned here.
 
I'd rather get shot out of a cannon than listen to the Beatles. I'm into metal, but in all honesty, I listen to everything. I hate most country music, and I would like to go on record as saying Distubed and Slipknot are my 2 biggiest.

Throrogood is legend in my eyes, me and my wife rock out to that all the time, One bourbon, Once Sctoch, and One beer is our drinking song, I drink alone, and the best album he done is The baddest of George Thorogood. The guy learned to play from Elias McDaniels for pete's sake, hell yeah.

Completely off what we have been discussing, but today is the first morning since I have joined Bladeforums that the ridiculous "Hog MUk Proto" thread hasn't been at the very top of the new thread posts when I log in. That thread makes me want to murder myself in the face.

That's partly my fault. I staged a (successful) campaign for the release of the CABS knife, which is actually a very nice bushcraft blade. The "I want a Busse Muk" crowd saw how those efforts paid off, and now they are simply not giving up. :D

The key to success, I think, was bringing Hilda into the mix. If Ka-Bar doesn't come with those Tweeners soon, I may have to send Tooj a pic of "her." :p

I don't have a problem with Busse knives, quite the opposite. (In fact, I secretly yearn for a saber ground FFBM or a decent CGFBM. I have come very, very close to selling off a lot of my beloved comics for one.) But that thread has been around since 2008. Seriously people, let it go!
 
The FFBM is just too thick/fat IMO. It could work well with a considerable edge reprofile, but it's just a giant chunk of steel. I have one and am going to sell it soon, most likely. The CGFBM is a totally underrated chopper. In fact, it's one of the best in the Busse line-up. I've tried every Battle Mistress with the exception of the new Bushwacker Mistress. By the time it came out, I was sort of fading on the Busse scene. Still, I'd like to get my hands on one and try it.

Can I see pics of your FFBM? I know it is a huge hunk of knife, but for some reason I can't help but really, really, really want one.

My little plastic scraper wasn't going to get through several layers of ice, so I had to get all tactical and stuff with the Combat Utility:mad:

just a head's up. i just bought a guyot bottle on sale for $5 (regular price is $22) from a brick & mortar sporting goods store. i don't want to get an infraction so all i'll say is you'll save a lot of green...money is green, right? get 'yer thinking caps on.

I have to say that I do like the specs of the CABS. One of the few Busse knives that would be universally useful to me. But for $300 bones, I'd still just go with a custom from one of the makers on BF first. Actually, I'm sure I could get the exact same specs on a knife for around $200 or less. Not counting the INFI.
 
we've been getting hit with snowstorm after snowstorm lately...the trails are buried so there's no chance i can mountain bike...even hiking is almost impossible since there are spots where it's close to knee deep...just really slow going.

i've been doing my research for...well, since last winter but after my last 3 hikes where i barely got a mile in and just got too damn tired with all the deep snow i finally decided to pull the trigger on a tubbs mountaineer.

after much research, this video pushed me over the edge...it had nothing to do...i repeat had nothing to do, with how hot this girl is :p but not slutty hot as to make me think twice about bringing her to meet the parents hot :D
