Beckerhead firearms

Been sniffing them a good while, ran across a deal I couldn't pass up. Dark when we got home, but got it cleaned and lubed and ready to go in the morning. Will post the happenings.

I like most anything Ruger. Shot a 9mm American compact today. Nice but heavy.

I know, right?

Just ordered a folding brace kit for my AK pistol plus an AKOU enhanced safety. Got some night sights installed on a couple Glocks. Trijicon is probably the best but Ameriglo seems decent for the price. Meprolight isn't great.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me....:D

purty... i have a single 1911 example, because, classic, but it's too big for daily carry, at only 8 rounds... stupidly accurate though.

am considering a Springfield XDM in .45 perhaps - double stack, many large candies, MAYBE 9mm.

Springfields are wonderful pistols. One thing I like about this Ruger is everything on it is made in the USA.

I carried a fullsize 1911 for yeeeeeaaars...and I'm fairly wee. 8 in and one up, 9 rounds isn't bad.
Just picked up an XDs 4.0 in .45-after all the grip is the hard part to hide.

If you look at statistics from incidents where people defended themselves with a firearm, the vast majority only needed one or two shots if any at all. So 9 rounds in a pistol that shoots like a laser should be plenty. But if you can get more, then get more. You can never have too much ammo.

trying out some new sights and some carry ammo. Pic just for the heck of it.

What sights did you get? I am looking to change my stock Glock sights out to XS big dot 24/7 or the Ameriglo pro I dot.

Also looking to have my Glock Cerakoted but don't want to be without my EDC for well over a week.

Need more pistols.

The stock Glock night sights are not bad-they're very strong, and easy to pick up. My XDs (which was used) came with aftermarket tritium/fiber optic combo sights which are long, but very bright-they're worth checking out too.
I love cerakote but I don't think I'd do either of my glocks-the finish on them is (IMO) tougher than cerakote and I'm not sure what that'll do to your warranty. Mine has nightsights, a light (inforce APL) and skateboard tape strategically applied, that's it

Totally agree. Five for sure is usually how I like it.

I need a J-frame, going to shop for one today. Hopefully I'll find a 640 pro with the dovetailed night sights but I might settle for a 642 or 442 if I can find a no-lock. Or I may grab an LCR. It's just way too easy to carry a light snubby and they still shoot well too. Only snub I have right now is an SP101 and I've found myself carrying that a bit lately despite the weight but I'm worried about snagging the hammer spur on the draw.

On the topic of revolvers, S&W is finally coming out with 2.75" versions of the 66 and 69 revolvers. I don't think I want to shoot .44 magnum out of a 69 but the 2.75" version would be a nice gun for .44 special loads.
