Beckerhead firearms

I have a 442 I've carried to death-it has the lock, but after a LOT of 158gr +p it hasn't moved at all. I'm not fond of the lock but it doesn't seem to be a liability.

I'm just opposed to locks, they shouldn't be there. Just throw a cable lock in the box and call it good. I store all my stuff in a locker that's bolted down anyway.

So anyway, this happened

Security Six and LCR .357, both (barely) used but in awesome shape. The LCR doesn't have the lock and there's an interesting tidbit about the Secuirty Six

Wrapped up this beauty today since the Talley rings finally arrived. :) The crappy pictures don't do the wood's figure any justice. I'll have to try and get better photos when I have a little more time.

It's a new CZ550 Satin Lux in .308WIN w/ a Bushnell 3-12x44 LRHS in Talley medium rings (I couldn't find low rings for CZ's proprietary rail anywhere).

That's a beaut, Basher. Might need a cheek pad riser for a stock with drop like that.
LOVE my .22LR CZ.

Nice CZ.
I am thinking I will pick up a glock gen 4 19 soon.
Still working out how bad I " need" it.

CZ makes a reeeaaaly nice rifle-I have a 527 Lux in .222-which I think has low rings-hafta look to be sure.
That is a great piece of wood, Basher.

You can't go wrong with a Glock, they work and that's the main thing. BUT they have always been behind the power curve and very very slow to adopt new features. I would recommend taking a look at some other offerings like the Sig P320 or HK and see if anything else tickles your fancy first and if you end up coming back to the 19 then great. CZ is going to start importing a striker pistol soon.

What's not to like man. Solid, tough and a shooter. Can't go wrong with one. Better trigger on the Sig 320 and you can change the frame out for 30 bucks.

I think the HK VP9 has the best ergonomics in the business. Great trigger and super good sights. I think the most accurate of the three.

Damn I love the Sig though....

You know you need them all don't you? :D

Yeah, just not the one I was thinking about. I already have a regular SP101 and I like it, but I would like something with better sights. I think I'm going to get the 640 next year when the funds allow.

Hoss,

Very nice ruger security6 with the 200th roll stamp. Very cool, indeed.

I bought a ruger gp100 match champion, it has Novak low rear sights and a fiber optic front. It started life almost as smooth as a S&W and I'm really happy with it; now that it has been broken in, its buttery smooth with ruger "over-built-ed-ness". You might like it.

I have a regular GP100 and I've been drooling over the Match Champion with the fixed Novak sights as well as the Wiley Clapp edition with the 3" barrel. Too many sweet revolvers out there.

I have never owned a Sig Or HK. I like my Glock 30. The FNS9C is also a contender.
The glocks just have so many holsters, sights, cheap mags and all that good stuff.

Indeed. I'm a big fan of revolvers, they are not as popular as semis these days.

Just to add more gunlust, lookup the gp100 model 1740, it has a 5" barrel. I never liked the barrel heavy 6" and feel like I could handle the slightly longer 5" with the longer sight radius.

I carried a fullsize 1911 for yeeeeeaaars...and I'm fairly wee. 8 in and one up, 9 rounds isn't bad.
Just picked up an XDs 4.0 in .45-after all the grip is the hard part to hide.

it's not the weight, it's mostly the size. great bedside tool.

i have a .22LR target pistol that weighs 8 oz more than my 1911 ;)

9 is good. 18 is better.

30 is more better :D

Never liked 8+1, much preferred 8-round mags and rack one in. Same number per fill, and if you have to empty the piece you don't have a spare round floating free or have to go through the shenanigans to get the round in there. Basically. exceptions and complexity bother me when it should be something rote and hard to screw up.

My 4" .22LR SP101 (1st gen) weighs more than my HB model-10. And a good high-standard .22 surely out-weighs my 1911. LOVE a heavy pistola.

supposedly military standard was always "cruiser ready" - empty chamber but ready to go. probably safer for fires and cook offs too.

high-standard super trophy matic - laser beam
