Beckerhead "Spartan" Fitness Challenge GAW Round 2 is Live!

Core workout: 30 minutes of shovelling 5" of heavy, wet snow. Headed out now to finish the other half of the driveway. I was sweating though my shirt this morning, despite being lightly dressed.

Core, back, arms, legs (hamstrings especially).... I hear ya brother! I did that this morning after my run. I'm not as much of a warrior as you are ;) I defaulted to my snowblower after completing 1/3rd of my driveway (I needed a break :P its a big driveway)
 
Yeah, I have no snowblower....tho sometimes the neighbors take pity on me and loan me theirs. Went back out and sweated my ass off a second time (tho beer was involved this time) for another 40 minutes. Wife tried to drive through the snow bank and - surprise - got stuck, with the car blocking a good portion of the street. High effort shoveling.

Came up for some water while on the treadmill, looked outside. Need to cut workout today to go shovel snow. Winter is here :thumbdn:

BSP: +1 = 74 - pushup day! with a little bit of energy I'm back to my normal. Need to keep pushing!

I'm mostly gonna be doing upper body (and not my clap pushups) because I twisted my ankle pretty good yesterday in my Krav Maga class, and it's pretty unstable today.

Thanks! I find all I need to do is stick to my routine and it just flows! I understand how crappy and hard it is to get in a work out when working takes up 70% of your day :( last week proved that one for me. Everything counts when you take advantage of the little spare time you can get!
 
Got about 30 minutes of ice skating in this afternoon. Ice sucked, but I was sweating bullets as soon as I sat down to take my skates off.

BSP: 74 - my little guy decided that it was time to wake up at 0430h and It took me until 0530h to get him back down cutting my workout time by 30 min :( Time to get ready to work.

I started off my workouts today trying to do my max' and it was the same as the last video as I posted. Got half way through 80 and collapsed. If required, I'll make another video :thumbup:

After that test I did pushups until I could go no more (in one min intervals), did my twohundred situps week 2 day 3 column 3 workout, then the onefifity dips week 4 day 3 column 3.

Starting the year with:

MYB: 3
BSP: 2.5

Also just sat down with the wife and got our game plan together for dieting! Let the meal planning begin!

Watched an interesting documentary last night called "Food Matters" I recommend it if you want to change the way you think about eating.

I DID IT. Two full pushups this morning. They weren't perfect but it's a start. Got it on video, it'll be a little while before I get it up, need to eat lunch real quick. My arms are tired now lol.

Thank you! I am going to continue doing the challenge. Will I ever get to 100? Probably not, but I'd like to be able to do a few in a row. In this video I do a couple real pushups and 9 or 10 half pushups. When I don't do the full pushups I can do 16 or 17 half pushups with pretty good form. I'm going to incorporate some planks into my workout stuff, which should help with my form for sure. Cameron has been doing a lot of body weight workouts, including planks and it's done him a lot of good. Really looking forward to the new year. I actually like new years resolutions, so I will be making some of those and doing a video on those soon too!

Lies Cap! You can get to 100 if you really push for it ;) It may take you a little longer then 6 weeks, but you can do it!

Weight: 143 lbs (from 150 lbs)
One rep max for both squats and deadlifts: 355 lbs (from 335 lbs before the challenge started)
