Beer of the Month Club

Great beer, another topic near and dear to me. It's my favorite time of year, love all the winter brews. If you haven't tried Alaskan Winter or Anchor Christmas, you need to! That's what I'll be having tonight.
 
Wish I saw this last night. I picked up a six pack of Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest. It was a decision between that and the Spaten Optimator, but considering I didn't want to spend the night on the floor, I passed on the Optimator (imagine it in your head like Arnold Schwartzenegger would say it - pretty much a delicious double-strength Oktoberfest).

These Leinenkugels have been showing up in this neck of the woods in force lately. The Oktoberfest was really good. A bit sweeter and thicker tasting than I usually like, but it was a crappy night outside so it worked well.

I just saw that the bottles of Corsendonk Christmas Ale are out. Be afraid. Be very afraid...

Oh, great idea on this thread Andy - although with the amount of responses you'll probably get, you might have to break it down by the week!
 
I've had some of those Optimators. Nice stuff.
 
I bought some of that Sammy Smith Oatmeal. Reading about that stuff makes me thirsty.
 
Allright, I never had that before so I'll pick some up on the way home.
 
I may pick up a bottle of that Samuel Smith, I have heard it on good authority from some good drinking friends that it is very good stuff as well as y'all here.
 
I have already sucked down many a Oatmeal Stout so I'll pick up something different on the way home. I also have to drive up to Exit 13 (one exit before Andy's) to get me license back from the shooting range I left it at night before last.
 
I vote we have a party at Andy's, each bringing a different beer and a munchie, then playing with some of his knives. Except, crap, I live in Minnesota.
 
Party at Andy's sounds great, but like you bro, I live to far away.

By the way, I picked up the Sammy Smith Oatmeal and it is excellent.

I've got a few Wolaver Oatmeal Stouts sitting in my basement. I really don't care for them, it's got a weird taste for me. To bad you don't live closer or I'd give them to you.

I got you both beat! :D Never too far, if you don't have to leave the country to get there!

I'm gonna hit my favorite store on the way home tomorrow, nd see if I can get some of this Sammy Smith Oatmeal, and see if they have the Dundee too... that sounded good looking at their site.

Man, I am jealous, my mother in law only had Mojito's and wine. Well, Andy, you know, any time you add alcohol and my MIL, it's bound to be fun.

Andy and his wife are great hosts, I guarantee any party there would be one you'd remember!

Dylside, I am guessing you go to Bullseye Marksman? I was supposed to go there today to try out my new to me S&W 357 Mag. Didn't make it today though, wife was too tired after our little hike.:grumpy:
 
I'm up for a M&G at Andy's. Let's plan it around next year's BLADE since I've never been there.

The budget queen may have something to say about it though. :)

Yes I do. I like to get up there about once a week or so. Lately it's been a little less frequent with the shortage of moolah in my house.
