Beer of the Month Club

Had a Samuel Smith last night. Pretty good stuff, although I can get a few brews that I thought were very nearly as good for a lot cheaper. It did have a nice, interesting hoppiness to it that I had not noticed in others of this style. A bit more citrusy.

As always for me.....Its the boulevard wheat!

Ive seen that UFO before, I need to try it. Im a sucker for the wheat beers. Flying dog in heat wheat is good stuff too.

Woodchuck draft cider, the dive close to me carries it in the cooler and behind the bar. Only place I know within an hours drive that carries it, so guess where I'm going?:D

I got a beer for you all to try if you can find it. Its called Dragons Milk Its kinda like Guiness in Ireland. At least thats what my wife says. I have not been to Ireland. Long story short Guiness being imported has to be dulled down but Dragons milk is made here in Michigan. If you ever see it try it.

With winter here I will not be drinking much beer, mostly bourbon. Makers Mark, Old Grandads, Knob Creak , and .............

Steelshaper - make sure you join the Sour Mash social group here on the forums!

What with this economy we have going on, I tried a couple of the new Anheuser-Busch "fancy beers". Michelob Dunkelweiss was pretty good. This type of beer is one of my favorites, but hard to find. I wouldn't put it up there with Franzischkaner or anything, but for $4 less, who cares. I had some Shocktop (A-B's Belgian style wheat). I gotta tell ya, it's pretty darn good. It might even be close to Hoegarten, for a heck of a lot less. Buuutttt, the morning after sucked! I didn't drink anywhere near enough to have a hangover, but a hangover I had.

Andy

This Robert Gray and I just called you from Kansas in regards to your work; very good I might add. I will be enjoying a Fosters Lager from Ausralia tonight. You ought to try one, I think you will like it. Thx

:D

Man, I was in a bad way at The Harp last night. I remember looking at the bill and asking Una (my favorite server) "Did I seriously drink 10 guinnesses?" and she said, "yeah love, and you had 3 black and tans, 1 lager, and the cornbeef and cabbage. I don't know where you put all of it." At that point, I paid and had the wife come get me. ...or she might have already been there. I can't remember. Either way, I was having a good time.

Out here in California we have many breweries. I drink a fair amount of Sudwerk, brewery being only about 3 minutes away from home by bicycle, 15 minutes walking. Not worth driving at all :)

Among the other regionals, my favorite has to be Arrogant Bastard.

For ciders, well, I just make em. the raspberry cider is the favorite of the womenfolk in the house

Whos had the pumpkin Ales? Saw some differant ones tonight, Blue Moon has one out right now. Opted for the Fat Tire though.
