benchmade mini ritter & large m-390

I was going to order an orange and a black Mini, but was surprised to find that the orange Minis are already out of stock.
It seems odd, the S30V versions in orange seemed to be the only color that was always in stock., but it appears that there is more interest in the new versions in orange.
Either that or there just weren't many released yet...

Oh well, black Mini is on its way :D Maybe I'll order another from the Custom program :D
 
I would caution not to make any assumptions or jump to conclusions WRT popularity or sales based on what you see. Initial production ships in fits and spurts. Another shipment is expected shortly. Roger ships as soon as they arrive for orders placed in the order received. Thanks for your patience and enjoy!

My mini came in as well. A very good example. My favorite model (with a little help from Kevin Wilkins) & my favorite steel What's not to like :D:
 
I've had eye on the mini grip for a few years now, but my spydie PM1 has contently filled my pocket. This looked like a good time to jump into the Benchmades. I hope it gets here by the weekend!

That's what I figured. I just looked, and Roger has marked them as pre-orders, with expectations of delivery in the first week of September.
Just curious, will black and orange be the only colors in the new versions, and will coated blades be an option as well ?

There are no plans at this time for additional colors or coated blades.
 
USPS said it would come yesterday but I had to wait until a few minutes ago.
Perfect in every way. Centered, sharp and no play.

Got my Orange Mini in today!

Centering is perfect and it has no play in any direction. Flips open smoothly as well!

It's like a dream come true. Love it. I hate that I have to break it in to get it slippery smooth like my S30v, though. Not complaining! She'll get there.

Thanks to Knifeworks. I goofed up and ordered a black one because I was so excited when I got the news. One email to Knifeworks explaining the issue and requesting an orange one is all it took. Mariah responded with a friendly e-mail and said she had changed my order to orange.

BOOM!

Orange mini Ritter M390 in my hand! Those letters in my mailbox will be trembling with fear tomorrow.
 
Got both a large and small orange today. Both are very sharp. Just the smallest amt. of side play in the small one, no biggie, I'll fiddle with the pivot and I am sure it will fix it.
Looks like the mini is now black hardware and clip. I think the old small S30V were silver hardware and split arrow clip. Could be wrong though.
Looking forward to using these.

I noticed the black hardware on mine, too. I Googled some pics of the S30v Ritters and saw some with black and some with satin. Anybody know if there was a rhyme or reason to that?
 
My orange S30V came with black hardware. I put my clip in acetone and scrubbed off the paint so that it would match the blade.

Passing through, checking the forum on my way to the rack - too funny, laughed out loud. I got my orange pair yesterday. I predict you'll be happy. :thumbup:

As far as the orange, I have an S30V ritter in orange and the scales look identical in color to me. I'd say it looks more tangerine to me than safety orange. Here's a picture with the scales I removed today on the bottom (now with a 551 blade) and my S30V ritter on top for reference.

My S230V orange mini came with a polished arrow clip that I hate. That is why I ordered a black one this time. I would have ordered an orange one if it definitely came with black hardware.
