Benchmade Model 805 with M390 Blade Steel

Man I've been waiting a long time for an AFCK or a TSEK with satin blade. Very cool

Eh ive been on a binge...UKPen knife, Speedform, Chokwe, TSEK, and I hope to get a Tilt. I was in control for a good 8 months, but these knives are just ridiculous. It was a really bad idea to visit bladeforums...and random knifeworks emails dont help either :DEDIT: I hope these are plain edge

Every time I resolve to spend less or forgo buying knives for the coming month, Bladeforums happens. Then I go visit Rogers site, or Ashley emails me to tell me this knife or that knife is in (speaking of Knifeworks), and that resolve just turns to a disipating morning mist!:)

So how many of these are being made? I really dislike limited release knives.

EDIT: I see 180pcs on their site, is that right? It also says M2, I thought that was a different steel.

EDIT: Ok, more searching says it's 400pcs. I still won't be able to get one, oh well. I'm not one for buying many knives in a short period of time and already have one coming.

You must be looking at the wrong one, it is 400 pieces and the steel is Bohler's M390.

I'm in. Just pre-ordered also. Can't wait till Christmas! Next on the wish list is a KW limited run BM 804.

Damn, I just got through cleaning out most of my folders to just keep a small and large sebenza and this comes along. I have always wanted one of these because of the higher grind it has then the afck, and it just personally looks better to me. The thing that has kept me away the most is the 440C steel, though it works just fine, I always wanted something better. Looks like they made something better. Hope it has the G10 handles that look like the pic below, the limited run they did for russia. I love the texture on them..

No, but I have that picture saved as it is one of the few benchmades that I would actually like to have. I love the texture of that handle, it just flows so smoothly!! I did a pre-order too, can't wait to get the knife! Wonder if it will have a rounded spine like the 710 M390 did.

You wouldn't own that Russian TSEK, would you?

Does anyone know if they will confirm that you have reserved a specific serial? I emailed yesterday asking for a specific sn they said it was still available and then I was able to pre order later in the day I requested it. But when I email em later that night hey cannot confirm is it's reserved for me :/

I bet you are, considering you got the idea of this knife started. ;)

Thanks, but I'd rather consider this knife as a tribute to all those that showed interest in my thread on the Benchmade Forum .
And it is seeing the light because of guys like Mark and Roger, without them it would still be a pipe dream.
And many thanks to Benchmade for listening to us, it took just over a month to get the green light from them.

What do you want to know about this one?
Its Black Sculptured G-10 / BTW.
IMO best BM of 2010........

I have a good idea of the details.
Just ask.

Is it sculpted like the pictures above that show the Russian forum 805? I love that handle texture. Looks similair to the Gold Class griptilian I had, those grooves cut in the handle were just awesome. Held the hand in place very good. I have always like the 805.... and now the knife is made as it should have been, Axis lock, sculpted handles, and great steel. This and the ares are the only benchmades I am keeping.

Yup there was a really good response to your thread. I'm glad it's getting made, big thanks to Roger at KnifeWorks for making it happen.
