Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

Wise choice on the 6.5. Gotta give your keyboard-fu digits some workout to keep 'em fast, loose and nimble. It'll be lots of fun to partake in that Heavy Chopper Friday Sales thread whenever those 15-16 purported units become avail. I don' see my chances as being too good, but definitely worth a robust crack at it.

It'll be a feeding frenzy for sure!
I'm still bummed that I missed out on those Heavy Choppers way back when.

If I keep looking at and focusing on Bob's Bling Blinger's blade pattern for a minute or so, I'll end up in a trans!

I never ever correct anybody but this is LOL worthy. I'm hoping you mean TRANCE because you ending up in a trans might not be a good thing, unless you're into that :D

Kootaga, you said this; "I'm fairly certain they did in fact call them blood grooves back then"
You made a pretty absolute statement, but you weren't exactly 'called out' on it. Bob took the opportunity to add something useful, and help correct a common misconception, and I think his approach was respectful enough. Your taking that personally is a little funny and mildly entertaining. Please don't stop

I want to take this opportunity to apologize to Bezner, Nathan, and CPK Nation. I've been a member on BF since 05 and to my knowledge I've never had an episode like this. I'm almost 62 years old and if you knew me, it's really not in my nature. I think the words had double meaning as far as I was concerned. Evidently, I was wrong. For that, I apologize.

^ I appreciate that. I was just coming on here to try and calm things down a little. Knife collecting is supposed to be fun but sometimes on the internet weird misunderstands do happen.

I'd like to try and keep this a fun, (occasionally rowdy) but civil place where like minded folks can enjoy their interest with others. There will always be disagreements but we can usually find common ground. There are exceptions of course (remember that heat color guy?) but most folks are here to get along and have fun with one another.

Hey, I think we've all been there, done that and regretted it later. No apologies necessary as far as I am concerned. It's a new day and, hey, let's have fun! For the record, I'm 70, though the joints feel too damn older. Koot, we're good as far as I'm concerned.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think that there ever was any opportunity on the HC! Only a handful or so exist in the wild and apparently they are all in the hands of the principals, really close associates, trusted friends/testes/reviewers/collector(s)...

P.S. Never mind. Justin corrected me!

There were a couple HC protos that made their way into public sales.

Bob's was off of a Friday sale where a bunch of people who said they would take it thinking it was the LC sale held at the same time. They all pulled out and Bob was left with the HC!

Probably one of the funnier posts I've seen sale wise.

I still remember in amazement how that sale went down. Talk about sheer luck and crazy timing.

Tommy, I'm also with you on that wait with a bit of bated breath situation going on :)

I never knew anything about that mistaken identity HC sale till Inspector Sleuth told the tale earlier on!
