I said "I said you might be suprised you play for the same team"

It took a while for him to get the tinfoil hat timmy tinfoil hat timmy obvious suggestions

Was fing hilarious when he finally noticed the dude was 6'5" and had a bigger Adam's apple then him

I was out of breath laughing

Noted thanks man. Gonna work on her some more today. Got rid of one years ago for the same reason but not giving up so easy this time. Its a sweet ass knife and imo one of the best lookers out there.

Serious question Roland, and for you other CRK aficionados.....

Exactly what design goal is achieved by having a thumbstud positioned so that the mechanical advantage is so low that it requires separating your thumbnail from the nailbed to operate?

I ask because there are hundreds if not thousands of folding knife designs that open positively and effortlessly with a thumbstud, and that do it on the first try, that do not require a change in the morphology of your thumb to do so. My uneducated perception is that this is a piss poor design.

I don't open the Umnumzaan with a fingernail. I use the front of the thumb with some of the pad. Very smooth once you get the hang of it.

Not my favorite opening method, but the two 'zaans I have are smoother than my multiple Sebenzas and one Inkosi.

So, I agree that it could have been engineered better to make it easier or less reliant on accurate placement...but I still really dig it.

That said, I could not abide the clips on the Umnumzaan and removed them on each. I have no issues with clips on my other CRKs, whether Sebenza 21, 31, Regular, or Inkosi.
