Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

Here are my top three fighters- UF2, custom dagger with unique blade shape and my latest addition to collection is variation on Floyd Nichols WWII knife. It is the most aggressive and scary blade I’ve ever hold in my hand. Nichols was WWI veteran and had knowledge of close quarter combat. So he made this pure brutal fighter.

for hand sanding, it doesn't matter so much since there's only the spine and sides of the blade to worry about. For handle sculpting, well, that's really the reason I got this thing. I can hand sand on a 2x4, it's not really a huge difference, but the handle is another matter and I want to be able to access the whole surface area and that's what the easy rotation provides.

the vise was $245 less than the one I really wanted, but I didn't get away with saving money for nothing, as I did need to modify it. It was a super easy solution though, and although I've only used it for hand sanding for less than an hour I'm pretty amped on it. All the parts are nicely machined and fairly precise, there's no way I could replicated this tool for less money. I could make a version of it for much less, but I'd rather spend my limited amount of time making knives and sheaths.

really looking forward to working on the handle of my next knife. I do most of the work with the grinder, but hand work is crucial for me to get everything dialed and that means symmetry. This tool will have a pretty big impact on the actual quality of my work, and I'm always looking for improvements.

and, thanks to all you buyers of CPKs, I was able to use my earnings to splurge on another tool that I'm super excited about! Pretty spendy, but also game changing.

I don't think you have to worry, I'm still tolerated here, and I have far more Bussekin than CPK (partly due to availability lol). If'n you wanted to transfer that $50 credit, I'd be happy to take it off yer hands. ;) Jerry likes Booowies (and sawbacks lol) so he gets some of my money (far too much, actually). 🥴

Now if only we could get Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist to make a real run of some kind of nice clip point... 👿 :D

Unfortunately, UPS mishandled the package and damaged the tip of mine slightly. Knife poked through the box and hit something hard (likely concrete) at some point during the journey. 🤬
