Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

Lorien Lorien : Agreed. Let's see some kitchen tool designs! I use a knife to eat a lot more than I do chopping down trees or defending myself againt someone...

be happy to, minus the CPK intellectual property part. Drop me a line :)

Just got a SYKCO 511 in today. I thought I was going to really like it but I think it may be on the chopping block tomorrow.

The handles are really small on those 511's.

My tastes change but at least for right now I like:

Survive! Knives
Big Chris customs
Pukkoos and lueko's
Lt wright
Battle horse knives
Swamp rat knives
Beckers and kabars

Oh man and spydercos.

I may have a problem.

Recently picked up this beauty from Ban. Mini Bowie Recurve with sharpened swedge. Full flat grind .145 S35VN and forest green/black cord wrap.

Ive really been enjoying the work of Joshua Gallardo and Salem Straub. I'll dig up some pics of specific items in a bit. I just picked up my first Gallardo and I'm eagerly awaiting delivery. I hope to buy something from Salem sooner rather than later.

^^^Gallardo has some of the very best, cleanest freehand grinds I have ever seen. I had one of his and would simply study the lines and symmetry, looking for the slightest variation. I couldn't find ANY. I looked, hard, for hours at one knife. Same with the lines and shape and contours on his handles - simply beautiful.

Is that the 711 or 911? Either way did it come with that ugly "choil" gap thingy towards the handle? If so how did you get rid of it? I like the way yours looks..

I believe that is an 1111 (in fact, I think that particular one is in my truck now). No choil on those, and a heckuva camp knife.

Whoops, I was wrong on the choil:

ETA:

The edge was completely reprofiled to a nasty convex. It took the edge back some and that's why you don't notice the weird choil in it. It's there just not as much as it was in the beginning.
