BEST and WORST places to buy online

"We would not let our people have ideas, why would we let them have guns?

Because they wouldn't have any IDEAS what to do with them?

Excellent: Knifeworks, and Knifecenter

Extreme Caution: Savson

EBOLA!!!: GW Knives

I have to second Ragnar at Ragweedforge.com for the scandanavian blades. You will have a very hard time finding a better selection. I always call him to order and if he's not there he usually gets back to me within half an hour. Customer service is unbeatable. Last year I ordered 15 mora#2 and 3 mora#1 and received 14 #2s and 4 #3s . instead of exchanging the two that were switched, he shipped me the missing #2 and told me not to worry about the extra #1 he sent. He is also the only guy I know that has a full line of Wood-Jewel knives.

OMG....how can I be so blind not to read this thread before! I just won Endura and Pacific Salt from Spydieguys....worst thing is I'm from outside USA, hopefully my stash will arrive...at least. After reading from this thread, at least the shipment arrived rite?

finger crossed.......

New Graham - Always a flawless transaction. (love the band-aids, as well :D)

Knifeworks - The first knife company I did business with over the net. (1998) I've bought many knives over the year and have always been happy with the transaction.

Sooner State Knives - Good prices and good people.

Just got email confirmation that my knives has been shipped yesterday....and email from spydieguys quite fast......so far so good....

I'm not reading 5 whole pages on this thread so I'll only say that for the brands they carry, I have had very good service from knifesupply.com. They have very good prices on Entrek knives.

Just received my Endura 4 and Pacific Salt from Spydieguy yesterday....shipment to my country just 8 days including local customs checking time.

I've purchased a Nova Tac flashlight from Your Corner store and it came fast (3 days) with no hassles. They also have good prices on knives but I haven't purchased any from them. I'm looking at some Rat Cutlery RC knives to purchase from them. Anyone have anything buying experience's good or bad to report from them ?

From my experiences ,On The GOOD list,in no particular order-

I have two very reliable sources for knives:

www.truenorthknives.com

and

www.heinnie.com (UK based)

These are the only two websites I order knives from.

Kind regards,

Jos

+1 the owners of Heinnies are good folks, they are pretty expensive but
they will bend over backwards the help you with any thing they can.

To add another, japaneseknifedirect.com have always been a pleasure to deal with

One of the worst for me is TADgear and their non existent CS, even on their name branded gear :thumbdn:

Here are a few, luckily the Good Guys list is much longer than the Bad Guys one.

Good: Knifecenter
Cutlery Shoppe (best prices for Spydercos)
GPKnives
KnifeWorks (often the best prices for Benchmades)
TSA Knives (ghbud on eBay, best prices on Bark River knives)
BladeHQ
Horizon Outdoors (also called NICNAC)
The Knife Tree
Aeromedix (for the Doug Ritter Grips)
Knivesshipfree (expensive but unique choice for Bark River knives)
REI

Bad : Countryknives (too expensive)
Spydieguys on eBay (never bought from them because they never answered my questions)
Working Person's (do not be fooled by what is listed on their site, most of the items are unavailable)
Cheaper than Dirt

In a league of their own: The Blade Shop and their affiliates (Taclighting, Tactical Gun Armory): they will take your money upfront for items they do not have and make you sweat for a couple of months for a refund (if any), seldom answer e-mails and their phone lines are always conveniently busy!
