My dedicated bottle opener, my EDC, my go-to pale ale, and the view from my bedroom window:

Very cool, Carboniferous!
Love the Rough Rider scout knife, the departmental beer glass (my department doesn't even have a coffee cup :grumpy:), and the view!!!

You're currently on vacation, right, Buzz?
Do you have both that sweet Camillus scout you've posted the last couple of days AND this monster GEC scout with you?? Very nice!:cool:

Of course!!! A knife nut would never camp with just one knife. [emoji12]

A couple of my other knives may even show up in this thread before August 1st. My pockets are quite heavy this summer.

Okay. It's technically not a beverage. But it could be, under very bad circumstances. But the need for a cap lifter was off the charts cool. Maybe GEC needs to make a Chili Scout?

Nice shot JP! Is the cat a Monk who fancies a sip of Chimay too?:D My Tiger hates booze, came sniffing round my beer glass the other day then hooked it over with her paw :D Is she trying to tell me something...:)

The faux Tortoise is a very pretty handle choice, wish I had more GECs in it.

I agree with Will, nice shot JP!

That tortoiseshell is stunning. I have been on the lookout for a #25 with tortoiseshell acrylic for a couple of years now but have had no luck yet; they made 51 single blade wharncliffe versions (4 with a shield), 2 single clip blade versions and that's it as far as I know.

Paul & Will Thank you, I agree, that tortoise shell is awesome and IMHO it fits particularly well "small" round knives like the BS or the 25 pattern. Paul I'm sure You'llget your grail some day :)

Will, Doudou-chat is a lovely fellow, but the pattern is unknown because he was found several years ago by my daughter when driving in winter on a forest road. He had been thrown from a running car and since he's a 3 legged crippled. Without my daughter he would have been eaten by foxes or badgers. He's a living lesson to me as his infirmity never was a problem to him and he is enjoying every moment of his cat life. Nevertheless, our respective positions in the house are clearly established : I drink beer, he catches mice (yesterday he caught a meadow vole). :D

Been a busy week at work with my little free time spent refining my stone sharpening. Very nice pics and knives everyone . Happy Friday!

Pizza and Blue Point IPA today.
