Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I googled your post, certain that it must be from a country song I didn't know. Didn't find a song containing those lyrics, though. o_O:rolleyes:
You should write one! :thumbsup:🤓:cool::thumbsup:

I should get some PBR for old times' sake. That used to be my go-to beer back in the mid 70s, but I'll bet I haven't had one in 40 years.

PBR was the first beer I ever tasted. I was given a sip by our next door neighbor once at a barbecue. It’s been my “go to” beer in the summer when it’s hot for a long time. Now it’s become cool to drink PBR, I like that, it’s a good beer, in my opinion. Some buddies and I bought a “99 pack” a few years ago. We went in the local liquor store and asked if they had it and the lady looked at us and said, “Why?” 😄👍4FBC3167-6D69-49C2-8370-BFE615AFD2B7.jpeg
I’m on the left barely in the shot, the other guys are neighbors.

Cool story, Todd; I was kind of thinking about getting a 6-pack rather than a 99-pack! 😁🤓
Maybe I'm setting the bar too low! o_O

Any guesses as to where we are this weekend?

I don't usually drink on weekdays. Especially not at noon but I'm on vacation all week so I figured what the heck. I ran some errands this morning and stumbled upon this sample bottle of Glenlivet while at the liquor store. A Scotch that I've been wanting to try.

It's pretty good but I have others that I like better. I wasn't even looking for Glenlivet today but I'm glad I was able to get a sample bottle.

It seems from the picture you drink it too cold. A Pinot noir wine has to be drunk temperate.

Dan.

Has to? It is suggested.

My english ! I meant Pinot noir is better when drunk at the right température.
About 50°F. But you can drink it on ice if that's what you prefer.

Dan.
Australians ...generally...refrigerate every drink....to the point of ice formation...at which point you can't taste anything anyway....which in some cases is good...
The pinot noirs and big bold shiraz wines ...imo are best supped after sitting them by the fire for a few minutes....on a cold night ....etc😉

Meantime on a warm spring evening...who amongst us could go past this?

Better then is to drink water.

If a house is heated by a fire the temperature is warm and adequate for the tasting of a Pinot noir or a Shiraz.

"Dangerous Ales", "New World Pilsner".

Australia, a strange country where wines are frozen in summer and boiled in winter! Where a ale is a lager!
Meako, tell us more, you are funny guys in Australia!

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.......grasshopper. You are wise for one so young...but is there not more to a bottle of wine than the temperature and taste? The fireside rug may be made from a single Grizzly but it takes more than one Koala.... which I think was covered by the "etc"

Security to the beverage thread...looks like we got us a beer knowall....no worries dantzk8 dantzk8 I agree its strange marketing alright...but not the strangest Ive seen ...the craft beer crowd seem to have a new form of hyperactive jovial weirdness with the branding and labelling.....but hey it had a knife on the can and is muy drinkable.....Im not ashamed to say I would rather pay the outrageous prices than buy the kind of fermented sewerage that the big name factories pump out by the oceanload....Im even starting to think that the crafties don't actally want anyone to buy there beer as its too personal and special...so they bestow all manner of stupid names on it....My good besties the Kiwis have one called "beer" literally that's the name---brilliant! hey we all want a Ford Raptor but no one would buy a Ford Wimp....
