Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Another Saugatuck Brewing gift stout from my wife, this time a coconut stout. The claim on the can that this product goes where no beer has gone before seems doubtful, but I always enjoy a Star Trek reference. And I don't care for coconut (except in Peter Paul Mounds, the best candy bar ever made), so while this is an OK beverage with supper, it's not a must-taste experience for me. (And I apologize for my lack of skill with indoor photos. The first one is without flash, and just doesn't have enough light, and the second one is with flash, and I don't know how to control the "hot spots" and glare.)

I know Kona Brew Co has used coconut in a brown ale and other stuff for years and Maui Brew Co has had a coconut porter for years so their claim doesn’t seem too accurate. I’m not a fan of coconut in my beer myself.

Thanks for the info about how long coconut has been an ingredient in beer. The brewery seems to lean toward exaggeration. Another stout I have from that company is named G.O.A.T. for Greatest OatmealStout of All Time, and although I like it very much, the name seems ambitious. 🤓

Finish the Port, before the Port finishes you! ;) :D

Will Power Will Power yes it is a Mikov.
It is my first one and I am very impressed.
Fires hard and it is very easy and smooth to close.

I most definitely want to get one of the different scale material as this one is much too pretty to beat up.

Very handsome Buck there. My eyesight is poor, I first read that as 'Woke Wagon' :D Quite a few might want to board it, quite a few would not;)
Thanks, Will. That Smoke Wagon is pretty good stuff. Each batch is just a little bit different than the others. The pictured bottle is batch #106. It's my current favorite Bourbon but it's hard to find available around here regardless of the batch.

I don’t know. I got it because of the name. It’s funny, even here the headlines say “Florida man (insert dumb action)”
That’s hilarious, did you enjoy it? 😊
Most of the time it means both higher abv and ibu.
Whoa, that wouldn’t be one for me then. I can’t go over 40ish IBUs (lower end of 40ish 😄) and typically I don’t drink a beer that’s over 6 ABV. That said, I like my bourbon 100 proof or higher, and really like it barrel strength, and non-filtered. 😉🥃

I don’t know what you guys are talking about. All I know is either a beer tastes good or doesn’t. That one was good.

🤣 That’s all that really counts. IBU (International Bitterness Units) is a measurement of how bitter a beer is, higher the number the more bitter the beer is. Cheers! 😊🍺
