Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I meant to post this here last night - this ale was most excellent!

Really like the way you roll Dylan. 😊👍

The days of endless winter seem to all blur together, but at least I think I can remember my supper beverages for the past few days. (Old photos; I rarely take new photos of a beer for which I already have a pic (unless I forget that I have it).)

Just back from a trip that started in Charleston, SC and finished in Atlanta, GA. My introduction to Wild Leap Brewery was at the Charleston Wine and Food Festival, where I picked up the beer koozie as a souvenir. It wasn't until our stop in Atlanta that I treated myself to a full size serving of one of their beers. Very tasty! Pictured with the Camillus 72 I had along with me as part of my travel whittling kit.

I tried something different tonight.
I enjoy their Extra Stout, but this one I did not like.
Tasted like cold coffee, and I absolutely HATE cold coffee.
I drank about a quarter of the glass and then had to toss the rest out.

At least I got a picture of it first. 😁

I used to drink those a lot. They taste really good when they are room temperature, but I suppose that would still be a cold coffee! 🤣

I love it for that very reason!

I don't understand how a can beer can be called a "draught beer". The Guinness Stout is a keg beer and is never better than in Ireland. I speak from an experience acquired by a meticulous though empirical study...

...
Sorry you were appalled by the Guinness Draught Stout, John. :(
By coincidence, I had one yesterday with some black beans, rice, chicken, and broccoli, and I enjoyed mine immensely.
But I agree that Extra Stout is better, as is their Foreign Export Stout and Antwerpen Stout and 200th Anniversary Stout.
But I'll probably have more of the Draught Stout later this week for some kind of Irish holiday (even though I'm not even "honorary" Irish 😁) :
