  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Shiner Trail Ale that I had with a plate of nachos I made yesterday afternoon. The Trail Ale is supposed to be inspired by trail mix, with the taste of chocolate, nuts, and dried fruits coming through, but I think my palate is too underdeveloped to really notice any of that, except maybe a hint of chocolate. Really tasty ale, though, IMHO, and the nachos were fantastic, if I do say so myself!:thumbsup::cool:

Nah it’s not you it’s just a shiner. Wish they wouldn’t export their trash. It gives our great state a bad rep.

We have jokes here about how it gets it’s flavor. Mostly they revolve around dogs taking a swim. Or are they jokes???

Monday morning, knife more traditional than the mug.

I've been on the waggon for the past 3 weeks, so I'm drinking a lot of tea! 😭

Jack definitely try some seltzer waters. Helps when you just want to sip on something in the afternoon. That’s what I have been drinking when I’m taking a brew break LOL!

Elvis and The Great Meakoona checking out the deerslayer and this Wollongong brewed?! NZ flavoured!! IPA...??..really.
Although I must say..in their favour...Five Barrels Brewing have redeemed themselves by having a picture on the tin of an actual Kiwi. so if you ever see one in the wild you can say
"Kia Ora...ya grotesque little gnome. How ya goin?"

The imperial stout sounds good, Meako.:thumbsup::cool:
What's the story on the bottom knife (blade etch includes "deerslayer", looks vaguely Buck 110ish)? VERY appealing blade shape on that one!!
